Damn Samsung can't come up with their own designs? They first copy Apple's iPhone design, now they copy Blackberry's design with the Blackberry 9000...in all seriousness though, faux leather though?

All reviews are saying it looks and feels great.also makes the phone better to grip from the sounds.which is needed for such a big device.

No case needed !

This could be the first phone I use without a case! Don't think it needs one.

Yeah true and you can always just get a spare back cover.just about the screen though when you put it in your pocket.

Will still get the s view cover for it as it looks quite nice.

That's such an expensive phone if true. I want to buy this phone off contract but if it's $900 in the states I won't even hesitate to pass!

When the s4 was available for pre order the price went up by like £70 after it was released.

I think £600 is not bad Considering the s4 was £580 and that was a 16GB phone.

I'm wondering what the slow motion video quality will be with the Note 3. I know it will record slow-mo at 720p max resolution like the S4, but given that the N3 can do 4K video while the S4 cannot, is there any way in which the slow mo video on the N3 might be improved over that of the S4?

Slow mo recording is still one of my fave things to do with the Note 2, this is one area in which I would really applaud any advances in max resolution. I'd take better slow mo resolution over 4K regular video recording any day tbh.

I was trying to figure out how that translated into $USD, and if this phone costs $900 or so American dollars, then I'll pass. I'll pay $650-$700 but no more than that.

The s4 was but you can pick one up now easily for around £300 in mint condition, so hopefully the same will be true of the note 3. I'll never be an "early adopter" again. Unlockedmobiles always start low and inevitably raise the price, even if you preorder, and they take your money straight away, so beware!

Actually they honoured the original pre order price with the s4

Couldn't they come up with a different name than "S Finder" just seems funny with all the flack they've gotten for copying Apple...

Its not a file manager so its hardly a copy of apple. They named it that because that is what it does. Finds things.

Note 3 is slightly narrower than the Note 2, correct? I think this is awesome, one gripe I had with the Note 2 was holding it one handed and trying to use a finger from the same hand, it just wasn't happening and I have fairly large hands. Going a bit narrower is the way to go.

Its been a long long time that a phone has impressed me by any company which is not Apple.

Using iPhone since 2007 and have never looked back.

Wife has a S3 but it never caught my fancy.

helped my cousin get an Note 2 recently and I had loved typing on the bigger screen.

But the design and features of Note 3 has impressed me a lot....I will definitely want to see how it feels in hand...and will as usual wait for Samsung to drop prices after a few months...!!

seriously considering this to be my 2nd phone

3200 battery instead of 3100.

Yes, though the resolution has been bumped to 1920x1080, so if the resolution stayed the same as the Note2 then I'd say it would have slightly better battery life, though since the resolution has increased, do we really know how that will affect battery life?

Wondering how power efficient this 800 Soc is. We shall see.

i seriously doubt you can tell the difference of about 1mm reduction in width...

I don't know, I can definitely see that when a device is thinner, but then you are talking about 10-12% so it's probably a lot more than 1mm width decrease. But yeah you are probably right, it will be virtually the same.
