The only "features" Samsung devices have which makes them sell, are everyone else's, except they're executed terribly and in a slap-dash-slap-it-on-quick fashion :D

Doh. What a dull little company.

Haha you could be in for a loooonnnggggggg wait as Apple believe this is the future:

Samsung is already copying it, and will upon release tout it as their "greatest design invention".

At least they are sensible enough to make the camera flush.

Indeed.

I would never buy a Samsung, but it makes me sad to think that you may need to buy one if you want a flush camera.

I'd like Apple to make a 4" iPhone with a flush camera, no ugly antenna bands, a grippy back and enough battery to last a day even when using GPS constantly. And no hump, please; just a nice, rounded-off design.

Nah mate, live photos-- that is a gimmick

Yeah that I admit was a gimmick.

From personal experience though, 3D Touch sounded way cooler than it is in practice. I guess it's personal difference.

2Gb ram was my favorite addition . Had my iPhone 6 Plus had that, I would not have upgraded.

This is an example of how Samsung copies even Apple's BAD ideas. I talked to Joanna Stern briefly on Twitter and she said she was writing an article about how 3D Touch, Live Photos, are just demo gimmicks that the majority don't use. I'm sure people are going to yell at me saying they use 3D Touch, but overall, it's not a well used, or well loved feature.

I love my apple products, and don't plan on changing.

That being said...come one guys, they both copy each other. Do you really think 3d touch wouldn't be copied and used in other phones?

Are you guys going to trash Apple when they add wireless charging, fast charging, a curved screen, etc? No you won't, just like you didn't when Apple added split window view on the iPad (Samsung did it first), Airdrop (Samsung), etc. Lets not get into what Apple has copied from Android as a whole, and vice versa.

Just enjoy and move on. You would think Samsung just stepped on your puppy.....isn't there more important things to get upset about?

No, they don't all copy each other, that's a false equivalencies; even the thing Apple supposedly copied were things that already existed in IOS jailbreak before they made their way to Android. And the "larger" phone was the original Iphone, making it even larger, well that's not even Samsung who did it first and that's certainly not an innovation.

It's been out 2 months, talk to me by the end of the year when most big apps have it. Bet, you'll sing a different tune.

OK, so I am not a big fan of Samsung either but I see double standard here from all who is crying "copy cat" to Samsung. What was Apple doing then, when they came up with iPhone 6 and 6S, the phablet category phones, which was pioneered by Samsung? I think a lot of features are so common amongst many vendors that it's now more about "getting it right" than "who did it first".
SAMSUNG DIDN"T INVENT THE PHABLET, and a bigger screen is not an innovation. BTW, the original Iphone was already a much bigger screen.... Learn to google....

That's a great cop-out.

No, the original large phone wasn't the iPhone, come on, we can't trace everything back to that. The note gets that title, and the entire tech industry would agree.

I don't care about jailbreak or cyanogen mod, we are talking about the companies. Androids xda community has experimented with more things, software wise, then anyone else.

Yes Samsung has copied apple, and yes Apple has copied Samsung. Any rational person can admit that. It's the same everywhere in the industry.

Once you admit that, things start to make more sense. There is a reason these two operating systems look more and more alike each generation.

Just because you haven't heard about something, is not a good argument for it not being true. My theory does hold up, because if it wasn't marketing then they would be named 2, 3, 4, 5 etc. But it is marketing so its name xBox, 360, One. Microsofts numbering has nothing to do with the product iteration. The xBox One was named to imply that it is the only set top box you need. It was to replace the Media Center, and had an HDMI input.
Lol, Obviously they named Xbox 360 because of marketing!!!! But it had nothing to do with PS3.

Yes it is true. No one wants to use Android, they just can't afford an iPhone.

That sums up a large majority of people on this forum. What's the point in even trying? Better luck arguing liberal politics with a tea party member.

Of course it will have a version of 3D Touch—did anyone have any doubt? The first couple versions won't work very well, but Samsung will get a free pass because expectations are extremely low and it's ok for them to copy because they're a Korean company. Sorry if that was too real for you, but that's the situation in a nutshell.

Why are Asians so incapable of being original?

If the S6 (and its cousins) with their shiny new design couldn't beat the iPhone 6 in an "S" year in terms of sales, I hope Samsung doesn't think they have a better chance against the iPhone 7 with an S7 that is basically an "S6S".

I see more defective Samsung's at work than any other type of phone. The LG's come by their poor battery life naturally, but the ones that are constantly overheating and glitching out are the S6 phones. I see a handful of broken iPhones, but not nearly as many dying and restarting on their own for no reason.

So this will be like the iPhone 6s... except with glass on all sides of the phone again on the Edge version (most breakable phone yet?), burn-in on the screens (also a thing I see constantly on the demo phones at work), and probably won't solve the constant slew of other problems they've had on their phones for years.

Hmm... Wonder why their sales are plummeting.
