So far so good; zero issues, all transferred from my S25U - both personal and business eSIMs moved across. Good Lock / Theme Park running as they should be; camera seems really good (IMO)

Fitted the Spigen Aramid case with the Spigen Magsafe ring - works faultlessly.

Lovely and thin; light, easy to open/close and great to use

Very impressed

Hmm, so Fold 7 supports WiFi 7/Bluetooth 5.4 versus Fold 6's WiFi 6E/Bluetooth 5.3.

My home router is still on 6E and my Meta Raybans (and other earbuds/watch/car/etc) are BT 5.3 or older, so won't be able to utilize the newer connectivity yet. Ultimately though, when I upgrade my watch or smart glasses then maybe the devices and Fold 7 will both experience extra battery life on the latest Bluetooth spec. Not a selling point to get the Fold 7, of course, but y'all will recognize the dangerous pattern of self-justification...

Need you all to talk me out of it. Now that it's for sure coming, and I'm getting a $100 refund and $50 towards accessories, I'm actually thinking about trying it. I've been dead set on keeping my Ultra but now there's that itch because that thing is getting delivered.

My experiences so far a not bad even though I wasn't excited at first. Spoilt Huawei mate XT user here, and all the latest China folds as well. But one ui is still king

Literally a toss up right now. As of last night, I decided to keep it, but this morning I'm thinking about how fast my battery charges and how much I love the anti reflective screen.

What the heck is this all about? Is it implying there are defects with phones that have already been shipped or delivered? Still researching cases and was planning to order today.

"Blue Shadow is the signature color, which is selling fast. There’s no concern about inventory, but Samsung feels it’s fine to delay some orders. It would help the firm ensure there are no quality issues on the devices being shipped."

How good are usually the Black Friday deals in Europe for the Fold series? I’m thinking about getting the Fold 7, but the offers here in Germany are pretty underwhelming, just €100 off if you trade in your “old” phone, plus the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, which I don’t need or care about. 😒 Might be better to just wait until Black Friday…

Does anyone have one of the codes Samsung sent out for signing up to the event? 🥺 I didn’t register since I had no idea they’d surprise us with such a great device 😳

Much ado about nothing. You gonna order the Mint color?

Ah, the voice of reason is always appreciated.

Still undecided on color and storage size. 512GB seems like the better pricing deal, but would also be a downgrade from my 1TB Fold 6.

Color shouldn't matter since I will slap a case on it, but I may go with a clear case if I find a good one. I really like my Nillkin Fold 6 case because the texture provides a solid grip, makes it easy to open the phone, and repels fingerprints. Nillkin makes a Fold7 case too, but strangely not one with MagSafe yet.

Flip 7 is 5 blocks away from home...I told my wife I'm happy to come back from office early "to take the dog out." Outer screen protector on deck and ready to go.

Am I the only one who ordered the Flip this go around 😂 ?
Congrats and enjoy!

The Flip series never did it for me. I'd rather have the S Ultra than a Flip. Having gone Fold though, I can't go back to a slab/Flip. No offense.

I may end up in the same boat, I will use this alongside my S25U but have a feeling I'll enjoy the Flip more. I'll eventually get a Fold device I'm sure. I jumped into the Ultra camp very late, the S25U being my first. Flip is a good entry point into the foldable world I think; if the rumors are true about the Fold 8 and foldable iPhone both without creases, that'll likely be when I jump into the Fold world.

I think the other thing truly holding me back is that while yes the device is so impressive, I just don't know if I'll ever really use the inner screen. I'm such a one handed user that I was trying to think of scenarios where I'd really sit down and use it. I'm very busy and on the go a lot, and I just don't know that I'd open the thing up a lot. Anyone else feel the same way and then get proven wrong?

I know you're on the fence, I'd consider trying it and seeing for yourself as to how you'd actually use the device. I'd have to believe it is a wonderful experience using it open while at home. Try using it but never open it when you're out and about; treat it as a normal slab phone and see how you feel?

When shopping for a TV I don't think I've ever read or heard someone regret "going bigger", and that's kind of the same feeling with a book-style foldable phone. You have the option to view all your apps on a larger inner display.

Of course, you don't unfold a TV every time to watch it, but if your vision isn't as great as it used to be or you switch between apps a lot on your slab phone then it's just more convenient and more comfortable to view everything on the larger inner screen. And now that the Fold 7 is just as slim as flagship slab phones and weighs less than an S25 Ultra/iPhone 16 Pro Max, there's very little compromise. Even cost difference isn't exorbitant because a 512GB iPhone 16 Pro Max retails for $1399 while you can get a 512GB Fold 7 for about $1615 (Samsung) or $1699 (Amazon). This is ignoring trade-ins.

Now that they have a normal sized outer display along with that massive display it’s great to use one handed or open. Use it one handed the 75% of your use case that you don’t need a bigger screen and when you are in a situation where you’d like a bigger screen just unfold it and you have that big, beautiful screen. Only tradeoff I’m concerned with is the battery life.
