Time will tell. I got Samsung Care+ which is 1000% worth it on these phones, so hopefully all will be covered if anything happens. I imagine it is the same with the Fold, the screen protector (on the Flip) is just a run of the mill film that can easily be replaced in case that accumulates scratches.

I use my Fold like any phone with no restrictions, happy to see some people enjoying the phone day.
but I hear some points.I should add that I have never dropped any phone in the sand, that would be a bad idea. I have a small water resistant zippered pouch that I use to carry my phone when at the beach or in the boat. I am careful when I use it.
I live at a beach and have a boat and Seadoo at my house. Everything I own gets exposed to salt air and sand and you just have to deal with it.

Yes, I do not use my Fold any different to any other phone be it beach, pool, building site, desert or in my pocket with tissues.

Tbf, none of the popular YouTubers are… if you ever watch those Supersaf vids where he ask them what their daily drivers are they don’t mention a foldable.Dave is definitely not a Fold guy thoughbut I hear some points.
The only exception would probably be MrMobile… he’s all about foldables. And come time Apple foldable enters the market, practically all the YouTubers will be daily driving them lol.

Had a chance to play with the new foldables last week at the store and have to say they are both amazing, so futuristic and a engineer marvel.
It's amazing to see these devices in person and all they can do. I do like the Flip more than the Fold, just because it's more "cool" IMO. But it's too big. Please, these manufacturers need to stop making the phones bigger and bigger, or at least keep a smallish version around. A 6.9 inch screen in the Flip 7 is WAY too much IMO. The phone would be perfect with a 6.5 inch screen.
Anyway, hopefully next year they finally get rid of the crease and meter batteries. Then, I could consider buying one.

I think the earlier Folds were more prone to that. It can still happen but you hear less of it since maybe the Fold4 days. I took my Fold4 to the beach on windy days and never gave it a second thought. I slap a case on it and use it like any other phone, rain or shine.
I think just because they are tech reviewers we should not muddle this with actual usage.
Maybe they are not like many of us who are always reading PDF files from Ikea or DIY or for your car or boat etc or answering many emails etc
This is where Flossy at times shows his real usage all be it a bit social media driven

Honestly. I think it's the camera... unfortunately the best cameras are in slab phones and they are in the social media business where documenting their lifestyle is vital.
The iPhone Pro/Pro Max models will have the better camera technology over the iPhone foldable... but YouTubers will overlook it because well, it's Apple.
This year the fold seems perfect, they done it. I was amazed by the phone factor, it sure looks like a normal phone. They took spen ustability out, it has small battery, it gets warm easy, it has strange aspect ratio on inside screen, its no problem, but… I dont know why, for me the camera hole on the big inside display ruins everything, it is always there, not in the center or in the corner(Pixel pro fold),its in strange placement. Distracting and destroying every video in landscape or picture editing etc. The worst part is that its almost never used, why Samsung why?. I wanted so badly to buy my FIRST fold, this is the year, but not again, they had to mess it up. Nobody use this camera, the one that was under display was perfect for quick video call, nothing more. I would use spen for documents signing or picture editing more then this 10mpx camera that is always there but never used, messing everything, videos, pictures, shorts, TikTok, ehh. I Think that Apple will do it correct way and faster, than Samsung that is always doing something wrong.

In my humble opinion, if you have a Flip 6 get the the 7. The wider main screen and cover screen alone are worth the upgrade. The full cover screen is the cherry on top. It really does look futuristic with such minimal bezels.
If you have the Watch6 Classic, get the Watch8 Classic. This watch lays on your skin like a regular watch. Something that can't be said for other smartwatches. Once again, in my humble opinion, the Watch8 Classic is hands down the most premium looking smartwatches out there. The cushion case design is exactly what makes this smartwatch look so premium. Very unique for smartwatches. I don't think there's another smartwatch doing the cushion case. Samsung's hybrid band is the best of both worlds for the leather look, with the comfort and water resistance of silicone. Love it. Samsung nailed it this year.

Yea I think the OG pixel fold really was the perfect size and aspect ratio. Now the bezels, weight, and chunkiness on the other hand were not great. Sounds like the foldable iphone might be similar as far as dimensions go which I would love. I'll enjoy this Fold 7 until then. Very impressed with it so far.
I also had previously noted some disappointment with change to camera hole but I can say after a full day of real usage on my Fold 7 I had forgotten it was there
