After seeing Justin Timberlake in "Black Snake Moan" and "The Social Network," I think he would be perfect.

Justin is an OK actor at best.
Christian Bale could pull out another "The machinist". The guy likes to push his limits.

I agree with activ8's suggestion of Stanley Tucci, Excellent actor and he resembles Jobs.

#2? And you don't tell us what is #1? Phooey! (Maybe Gone With the Wind?)

I hate to say it but Ashton Kutcher seems like the best choice. If he gets it I just hope that a great director can bring out a good performance from him.

How about John Hodgman as Bill Gates and Justin Long as Steve Jobs? :D

If we're pulling from the pool of current comedians I would prefer Andy Dick in the Bill Gates role.

Matt & Trey

I think a SouthPark version of Steve's life would be better. And George Clooney could play his gay dog Sparky. Cartmann could play Steve Balmer.

Pixar should pull out the big guns and make an animated movie that takes place in the reality distortion bubble

Let's be honest. George Clooney doesn't vie for any role. Films vie for him.

I, however, think Denzel Washington should play Jobs in the film, I've always loved his voice!

John Siracusa has a scathing review of the Isaacson book on 5by5.com the hypercritical podcast. Yeah it's hypercritical but also pretty correct. I hope the movie handles the tech details correctly.

I agree with the speaker, but his voice is extremely distracting and he sounds like he's about to cry.

It's sad that Walter Isaacson had a chance to talk to Steve but did such a bad job. Even if he didn't get into the tech details, the way the book was written was very elementary.

projected just after the book's release that it could become the company's #1 seller for 2011, and the title currently stands at #2.

Ranking number 2.

Look what ranking 1
A silly book called:
Heaven is for Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back

For "Christ" sake its written by a Pastor

A young boy emerges from life-saving surgery with remarkable stories of his visit to heaven.

Heaven Is for Real is the true story of the four-year old son of a small town Nebraska pastor who during emergency surgery slips from consciousness and enters heaven. He survives and begins talking about being able to look down and see the doctor operating and his dad praying in the waiting room. The family didn't know what to believe but soon the evidence was clear.

Colton said he met his miscarried sister, whom no one had told him about, and his great grandfather who died 30 years before Colton was born, then shared impossible-to-know details about each. He describes the horse that only Jesus could ride, about how "reaaally big" God and his chair are, and how the Holy Spirit "shoots down power" from heaven to help us.

Told by the father, but often in Colton's own words, the disarmingly simple message is heaven is a real place, Jesus really loves children, and be ready, there is a coming last battle.

Who believes this story, its just written for commercial benefits.

If he does it I sure hope he can pull it off. Not really the biggest fan.

Ashton Kutcher anyone?

Ashton Kutcher IMO looks a lot like Steve from the 70's

Yes, a bit of the look for sure. The role is tough, though, lots of drama, crying and dark behavior. Kutcher can't just strut around.

Jobs at the end...why not use two actors. Physically two different people anyway. Nobody could gain or lose enough weight to play both extremes.
