iPad Get a great deal on Air 2 at Best Buy!

I'd love to do the trade-in but the 128GB SG Cellular units aren't available locally. I have two iPhone 5s and an iPad 4 I want to trade in. According to the online estimated value that's ~$900 in trade-in value which would pay for the new Air 2. I can't even order online for in-store pickup.

Hopefully they'll get stock before 11/8.

You can still trade it in. They'll put the $900 on a BB gift card. You can't use the $50 code after 11/8, but the gift cards will still be good.

The problem is my wife is using the iPad 4. I'll get the Air 2 and then give her my Air. Neither of us want to be without our iPads for a week waiting.

I also want to get the extra $50.
 
No SG any size available in the DFW area Best Buys.

Going to get it at Apple Store I guess. Anyone know of any deals from them?

Apple Store never has deals except for Black Friday. Or, you wait for the returbs to come out in like 6 months.
 
Update for those in the DC area. I was able to trade in an iPad not purchased at Best Buy at the Woodmore Towne Center Best Buy in Lanham, MD, without any problems this afternoon. They accepted 10% off movers coupon, and was able to get $185 for iPad 3 plus $50 off coupon as well. A big thanks to OP and this thread!

Thanks bro. I am just waiting till saturday to get the extra $50 gift card. It's from 1-3pm i believe.

The online stock counts have been really bad.

Last week my store showed no Smart Cases and had about 12 on the shelf and 0 64GB gold and had 5.

Call the store with the SKU and let them check.

This is very true. I've been checking the stock online since release date for the cellular version of the Air 2 and the website kept saying either not in stock or ship to store in 3-5 days. However, I just decided to visit a Best Buy store on a whim yesterday and there was an Apple Rep there and I asked him if they had any cellular versions of the iPad Air 2. And he said yea, that's pretty much all we have. When the Best Buy worker opened the cage with the iPads, I counted at least 2 dozen cellular versions. So, don't rely on the site. Call or visit the store.

I am. If they will not do it I will return and buy it again.
 
Best Buy trade-in sucess

I traded an iPhone 4s, iPad 2 WiFi, and an old iMac core duo yesterday at Best Buy. Total towards new iPad $336.:D
 
Few stores around me finally got 64GB space gray in according to website. I ordered for in-store pickup, received an email that my order was ready, and then 15 mins later an email to wait, that my order is not ready...typical Best Buy

My local store also had the 64GB SG. I placed the order for in store pickup and it was ready for me in about 30min. I didn't pick it up until after work and was able to do a return and re-buy. Both the trade-in coupon and the 10% worked just fine. I also got about $10 more for my trade than BestBuy.com stated I would which was a nice surprise.
 
Well, just got back from Best Buy. I had reserved a 64GB space gray earlier today but I decided to splurge a bit and not drive the 20 miles to that store.

Ended up buying a 128GB space gray at the store closest to me. ~$440 out the door with my trade in. Accepted the movers coupon without any questions asked. Man this thing flies compared to my iPad 3!

trade in at best buy Valdosta this evening

First off, thanks to everyone in this post for all the info and feedback. I went in tonight (store finally had a SG 64GB WiFi I stock). Went through the trade I process in the mobile center (that's ehere they sent me), had the representative evaluate and price the trade at $301 as stated in the post. Asked about the $50 dollar coupon, and was told it was only for older models, mentioned the web forum and showed them several post. Had the. Anger come over and review the scenario, the store still stated they wouldn't/couldn't do te $50 dollar coupon. Just relented and got a aur2. Decided to come review the forum and email the store manager after finding the link to Best Buys page.

During checkout was able to use the movers coupon with no issue. Just wanted to update the forum, since all the good info provided by everyone helped me. If Best Buy comes replies to my email and offers the $50 coupon, I'll update the post.

I was just on the BB site. Figured I'd check to see what they would offer me for my iPad 4. It said - Your Estimated Trade-In Value: $243.00.

I wouldn't complain if someone handed me $243.00 but I think I'll be better off holding onto it so my kids can use it. I'd spend more to buy them a newer model. Now I'll play the waiting game. Either the 10% off Mover's coupon and get it at BB soon or... wait to see what the Black Friday deals are. I doubt the discounts will be much better than 10%. Then I'll sign up for a 2 year contract with AT&T to get a $100.00 bill credit. I like discounts! :)
 
Thanks OP! Traded in an iPad 2. The BB clerk did not even hassle about the Mover's coupon and was able to use the $50 trade-in and gift card.

Based on what I read here, I handed the guy the Mover's coupon first and then the $50 coupon and finally the gift card.

Saved a lot of money today.
