Answer: Um, the most expensive one.

Welcome to Apple, when can you start working?

I actually thought you were all joking about this training question, Apple is giving out scantron style questions, for a full Saturday Night Live skit Apple needs to give out the A, B, C, D answers.

77 million dollars has never been wasted in such a grand fashion.

So why does not everyone just say they are interested in the Gold model and get the full Luxury Appointment?

You don't pay a penny, and never have to decide anything.
Just all go and say you are interested in the Edition and get the top level of service.

If you want everyone to be treated the same by Apple, then you need to do this, so they understand such a system, can not work, as everyone says want to look at gold, but then decided against buying later.

Heh, a few hours of training isn't going to make many of the Apple Store employees that I've seen able to sell the Edition Watches.

Well, they can sell them to someone who is just coming in to buy already, but selling expensive fashion items is its own art.

But the training can really help with the other watches. Hopefully they figure out how to identify the employees that can pull it off and have those ones handle most of the Apple Watch consultations becuase I doubt that most of them can do it with any amount training.

BTW, Lee should go with the Milinase Loop if we're picking from the ones shown, but I think the brown or black leather loop would work too. Maybe he should also get a sport band to wear to work in that case, though, to keep the leather band looking sharp. But realistically, Lee probably needs to save his money, so probably no watch is the best thing, or a Sport with black band at most.

So Apple is apparently not afraid of alienating more costumers than it attracts by giving longer appointment times to people possibly considering buying a luxury watch, than people who have actual computers, phones, and tablets they've already purchased that they have issues with?

If you don't have anything better to do with your time or money than shop for a $10,000 watch, you get 30 minutes! Everyone else, we'll squeeze you in somewhere. Including anyone who wants a cheapo Apple Watch Sport.

Apple is no longer the "for the rest of us" company it once claimed to be. It's gone from mid- to premium-priced products that are (often) worth the extra price, to let's make as much money as we can.

Instead of the Apple Watch overall being the smart watch for the rest of us, it's more like Apple's perspective is: Apple Watch Sport, the watch for the rest of you.

Yeah? Id love to see those tax forms where you arent claiming everything. Two of my cousins are servers. One at Applebees and the other at a high end 100 per plate restaurant in the city. Both lie about their tips every year. Sure you may be cash rich but getting credit on your salary is going to be pretty tough. You wont be getting the Apple Watch Edition. I dont mean to be so rude I just hate liars

Well I'm not a liar and I claim every penny of what I make. My restaurant has a zero tolerance policy of not claiming tips. People are fired on a regular basis for not claiming. I've always claimed and will continue to claim. Believe what you want but servers can make fantastic money, especially if they have bar shifts too.

I have absolutely no interest in getting an Apple Watch Edition, but I make more than enough to feel comfortable picking up an Apple Watch or Sport.

Just because you have cousins that are servers and they don't claim, doesn't mean all servers are that way.

Damn, maybe I'm in the wrong line of work.

Nope, most of them make really good tips and then screw the rest of us over by not reporting it. Im sure im paying for their obamacare as well seeing as how most make under minimum wage on paper.

Some will, but most people don't like to waste their time shopping for something they have no intention of buying. (And if I were going to do that, it would be for something a lot more fun than a watch... E.g., test driving sports cars or nosing around other people's houses.)

If you need to buy a $10,000 watch on credit you should not be buying one in the first place. I can safely assume that people that have $10,000 plus have a iPhone 6 and would use Apple pay at a Apple store.
And anyone interested in buying a $549 plus Apple watch should have upgraded to a iPhone 6 already. If not they need to get their priorities straight.

I buy expensive things on credit (when it's 0% at least), I put the money aside in my bank, accrue good credit and get the interest for that money being in my bank. It works out better.

Broke, no. But its generally a good indicator that there's not a lot of disposable income.

No it's not. It's just your own elitist thinking that someone with a job that appears to pay very little that they don't have money. I've known people over the years with high-paying prestigious jobs and can't even pay their mortgage and end up going back to live with their parents. I'm talking about husband and wife.
Sheesh, the way people are stereotyped around here.

Depends on the restaurant.....

This is 100% true! I am not a server but I have dined in restaurants where I have left ~$50-$100 for a tip. Now if that waiter/waitress was waiting on another table or two they could be making some good money.

I think it's very rude for people here to assume that a waiter or waitress could not afford something like this (this isn't aimed at you jrswizzle you are only quoted for the first half of my rant ;) ). My mother has been a career waitress and can pull in a couple hundred dollars per day.

Way to be judgmental...

This changes everything. I am in now.

Can I borrow $15,000 from someone to get the one I want?

A person struggling with cash and working at a chain restaurant probably has no use for even walking in an Apple Store. That's not who Apple Watch is marketed at. Someone who is working at a high end restaurant pulling down $200-300/night in tips? Sure. That's common.

Servers I know make $2.13/hour (minimum wage for servers) - and then make $300-400 cash in tips every Friday and Saturday night. It depends on the restaurant, what type of food and clientele.

So in 2 nights, they can buy an Apple Watch.

Many waiters actually make MORE money than many people with office jobs. Plus, most don't report the tips to the IRS (or report much less) and don't pay taxes on those tips.

Good to know the elitism is rubbing off on others.

Wow. Just because someone is a server at a restaurant doesn't mean he or she is broke.

Yeah, no kidding! It all depends on the restaurant he or she works at.

Servers can make serious bank at higher end restaurants where you end up with $1000+ checks per table.

Even though a potential buyer is possibly spending $10,000 and up for the Edition, I don't think that they are expecting Tiffany-level service and expertise an a Apple Store. Since most customers already have an iPhone, and more than likely another Apple device (or 4) already, they should have SOME experience with the Apple Store. I would suggest that the goal is to make it feel more personal than buying an iPad, but it's unrealistic to think it will rival the experience of buying a Rolex. Apple knows that, and potential buyers know that.

Lee is a server at a restaurant. How many grocery trips to the dumpster out back will he have to do to enhance his personal style based on these three choices?

Or in CA where minimum wage is $9.00 for servers + tips. That being said, servers can make good money, but it's not an easy job. Dealing with the public can be awful.

You said they dismiss people, is that really true?

Your employer can not see your tax return in the US can they? They wouldn't have that right... Because you could have multiple sources of income which is none of there business. They can only see your w-2 that they produce. In Canada they only see the T4 they produce (w-2 equivalent). They don't have the authority to enforce the income tax act or whatever the equivalent is in the US. They could give a tip to the taxation authority, and they would be the ones to substantiate it.

So how would your employer know? Just saying that makes no sense. Anyways off topic.

But for those of you If it bothers you that your server has a better then you, tip him less.. (kidding)
