Private & Secure Room for Fit?

I sure hope Apple has special "safe rooms" ready for the high end shoppers complete with secret exits & plain, brown paper bags for the goods.

After all, even if you leave with this gem on your wrist, I'm sure the box & packaging will be worth gazing at in the home office for years to com.

Well I'm not a liar and I claim every penny of what I make. My restaurant has a zero tolerance policy of not claiming tips. People are fired on a regular basis for not claiming. I've always claimed and will continue to claim. Believe what you want but servers can make fantastic money, especially if they have bar shifts too.

I have absolutely no interest in getting an Apple Watch Edition, but I make more than enough to feel comfortable picking up an Apple Watch or Sport.

Just because you have cousins that are servers and they don't claim, doesn't mean all servers are that way.

Im not aware of your situation. Nor do I personally care. Im referring to the servers making 100k. Thats a flat out lie.

So... if you get the end of the 15 minutes and still haven't made up your mind do they hurry you up or kick you out?

Seriously, this is so dumb. Who would go and waste half an hour of their time picking out a watch? Heck, who would waste 15 minutes of their time?

I've seen the website, I know the one I want. All I need to do is check 38mm vs 42mm. 30 seconds and I'm at the cash register.

You said they dismiss people, is that really true?

Your employer can not see your tax return in the US can they? They wouldn't have that right... Because you could have multiple sources of income which is none of there business. They can only see your w-2 that they produce. In Canada they only see the T4 they produce (w-2 equivalent). They don't have the authority to enforce the income tax act or whatever the equivalent is in the US. They could give a tip to the taxation authority, and they would be the ones to substantiate it.

So how would your employer know? Just saying that makes no sense. Anyways off topic.

But for those of you If it bothers you that your server has a better then you, tip him less.. (kidding)

Clearly you don't know how the resturant business works. At the end of a shift you have a checkout. This tells management how much you sold and how much you made. Federal law states a minimum of 13% of total sales must be claimed in tips when clocking out at the end of the night. The only way you get away with claiming less than 13% is if you can prove you got stiffed. If you have a habit of claiming under what the checkout said you made, you will be red flagged. If you don't claim the back tips you will be fired. It's all in the paperwork for when you are hired.

An appointment to buy something? Really?

Oh yes, exactly.......or maybe you didn't really read the article....or the article before this one pertaining to the same subject.

The appointment is trying on the AppleWatch to see how it fits. It's not a requirement to purchase one.

I hope the greeters won't be trained to spray us down with Chanel N°5 when we enter the store now.

You spend your money on the capitalist trash you want to and let others do the same with their money. Why do you have to be judgmental?? Why the heck did you pull the elitist card because someone may want to buy something very nice??

What in the world are you talking about?

My response was for someone who said a person who doesn't have a lot of money has no business shopping at an Apple Store. That is an elitist comment.

You appear to be very lost.

Wow how generous of Apple to give you 30 minutes with a so called 'Genious' to spend 15.000 dollars...

The kind of person who would even consider spending $10K for a watch would be in and out in five minutes, if they didn't bother just sending in an assistant.

You've obviously never shopped with a woman looking for an upscale watch (or luxury handbag, shoes, etc.) to go along with her equally (or far more!) expensive jewelry.

I wonder what Apple's advice will be if a FoxConn employee comes in and is considering buying an Apple Watch they had a hand in creating.

If only "Lee" was labeled a FoxConn assembly line worker we could have saved a hundred posts of waiters bragging about their 100k salary.

I wonder what a house maid makes if his/her employer is Bill Gates, has she posted here yet?

This is going to be really interesting. Apple Stores are tiny, lets shove the iphones, iPad's and MacBooks to the corner and stick some Apple Watches in there.

Apple Employee: "Sir I really see you in a Gold 44mm Watch..."

Customer: "Sure you do, if only I could afford it you d*** ***!".

If a server can choose the 3 most expensive model (that's not Edition), and I am having thoughts about "affordability" of those bands... then there is only 1 conclusion...

WE TIP SERVERS TOO MUCH.

Two things caught my eye. It's 30 minutes for those trying on an Edition watch, not necessarily those who will buy one.

And 10k for 30 minutes? I'd damn well expect them to spend 29 minutes of that feeding me grapes and reading me haikus. I'll know if they try to cut me short, I'll have an Apple Watch..

All the rich folks will be getting one. The really rich will send theirs dogs to pick it up, they are not going to wait in line. The not so rich will get it after the craze is over.

maybe its the german side in me but i wouldnt even want that. i just want to be left alone when i go shopping.

haha maybe it is the german. being semi-german myself (i.e. i have german parents), i was just thinking about how it's already annoying enough trying to buy something from the Apple store and make it out of the store without them wanting to open the box and set it up for you. i realize some people like that, but i just want to get out of there as soon as possible.

home delivery for the win.

I need to get me a job as one of these servers. They are making damn good money! Maybe we are tipping these servers way too much!

The tiered segregation of customers by wealth is a form of apartheid. Shame on Apple.

If you pay more money, you get better service. Simple as that.

I think the bigger issue is people worrying about how other people spend their money instead of just worrying about themselves.

I can't wait to go to the Apple Store on the 13th and see what kind of fashion advice they give me. I wonder what they would say to me, a student, as I usually wear a plain hoodie, bluejeans, and grey sneakers.

I want to buy a Sport 42MM, silver, with a Milanese Loop. Can't wait to her what they suggest...

Ask them if they have a layaway program :D

This just leads me to believe that the extra 15 minutes is spent receiving a body cavity check from Apple Security once you've tried on the Edition watch and handed it back to them.
