count me as one who sold 42mm SG Sport for the new gold with blue band. It's really really nice, the gold is not overstated and love the blue band with gold pin. Picked up a black sport band as well to swap out with blue.
Same as I did. Blue band that came with the new gold Sport Edition has a gold pin . . . But the extra black band I picked up at the same time comes with a silver stainless steel pin. The back of box says stainless steel pin too.
I wonder if they will soon stock black sport bands with the gold pin version in my local apple store. If so, then I will swap the one I have back at the store for the gold pin. True, you can't see it when its worn, but a stainless pin with a gold watch looks tacky and cheapens the look when its off your wrist IMO.

This subdued (not bright) gold case with the midnight blue band is really an elegant look!

Agree with your comments on the black band with the ss pin but for now I'm ok with it to have a swappable option.

I picked up a black Sport band in the Apple Store for my Gold Sport watch. The pin on the band is black SS, not silver SS. Looks very stealthy. Maybe they make Sport bands with different colored pins? Maybe I won the lottery?

Looks like they make one with silver and one with black. I'm hoping I picked up the one with the black because I haven't looked yet. Just assumed it was SS.

Got mine on wednesday night. Used it to track a military boot camp fitness class last night, absolutely live it!!

Will be switching the strap to black.

I wish they would have made the crown a different colour from the watch casing it would have looked better

I wasn't a big fan of the sports model as it looked very cheap in person but this gold one has me contemplating a buddy for my SS model. They look sharp.

And I don't even like anything gold!

well unfortunately I picked up the wrong one (black sport with silver pin) but it's not a huge deal for me. Just telling everyone as a reminder if you are going to pick up the black sports band to get the one with the space gray pin.

My gold sport model paired with the space black link bracelet makes it one hell of a combo!

Do you find it all limiting that any other band you buy for your space gray Sport is going to be silver? And it now looks like the gold and rose gold Sports are going to be in the same situation. Makes no sense. Is this what Apple intends, or will all the bands they offer eventually have matching hardware for every case finish they offer?

The more options they release, the harder it is to decide. First I was all set to go with the SS with Project Red SB and then I noticed that the SS Space Black comes with BSB now...and now the Gold Sport with midnight blue band...grrr...too hard to decide...

Honestly, if Apple had released the gold sports model on launch, I would have gotten that over my current stainless steel model. The gold sports with midnight blue looks really good.

Great company, I mean really who lets you wear something for two weeks then let's you bring it back and exchange for something else?

I had the gold (with off-white band) and returned it due to its lack of band compatibility. It does look nice, but didn't go with most of the things I wear. And it does look a little cheap compared to the Apple Watch versions. To each his/her own, of course, but subtle details like the matte finish not picking up on reflections from the bands, and colour mismatches bothered me over the short time I had it.
