Apple is the most 'innovative' company and will be the most valuable company ever again once the iCar comes out.

Check these stats out

There will be three cars in the beginning: The iCar, the iCar Plus, and the iCar Pro.
shhhh - and later on: iCar Pro Plus and iCar Plus Pro Plus

Each car will offer different bucket seat sizes starting at 16" wide seat, upgrade-able to 32" wide or 64" wide seats.
Three colors: white, silver, and Tim's favorite rose color.

The iCar will require an iPhone 6 or above to start and use the car and an iWatch just because it's a cool accessory for the car.

To recharge and get new updates to the car, it will require the latest version of iTunes on your computer.

Bonus: for a small price a separate key fob will be sold to unlock the doors and start the car without using your iPhone. Battery should last up to 24hrs before needing a charge. A Built-in charge cradle is on the dash. Note: you will be unable to start or use the car while the key fob is charging on the dash cradle.

also note: please use the nearest Apple store for new tires.

On May 26, give or take a couple of days Apple will do a massive buyback. Shares go up from there.

With Apple shares dipping below $90 this morning, Google's parent company Alphabet briefly overtook Apple as the world's most valuable company hitting a market cap of $498 billion compared to Apple's market cap of $494 billion. Apple and Google shares continue to fluctuate and the two companies are neck-and-neck for the top valuation, but Google remains in the lead.

Apple's stock has seen steep declines in recent weeks, following its first ever drop in iPhone sales and its first year-over-year revenue decline since 2003. Apple's share price is down again amid rumors of weak demand for the upcoming iPhone 7 and there's no relief in sight as Apple is also expecting a revenue drop in Q3 2016.

Apple's guidance for the quarter includes expected revenue of $41 to $43 billion and gross margin between 37.5 and 38 percent, compared to $49.6 billion revenue and gross margin of 39.7 percent in Q3 2015.

Google parent company Alphabet previously overtook Apple as the most valuable company in the world in February of 2016 following a strong Q1 2016 earnings report.

Earlier today, Apple was ranked the world's most valuable brand by Forbes, assigned a brand value of $154.1 billion compared to Google's $82.5 billion.

[doublepost=1463097925][/doublepost]I don't think Apple is in danger of going bankrupt. Honestly what does it matter.

I'm amazed that anybody thought Apple's revenues would continue to grow year over year at the rate they had been. Talk about unsustainable! It's not like they are losing money, their rate of growth is declining. Sooner or later growth in the smart phone market was bound to slow down. Particularly in wealthier nations where the average price consumers pay per device is higher. Each upgrade seems to have fewer and fewer "must have" features. The last time I bought new iPhone models in back to back years was when the 5S was released following the 5. Touch ID was the last "must have" killer feature that made it instantly worth it. At the time I knew I should have paid the extra money for 64 GB of storage. Had I done so I'd still be on the 5S today. Instead I went with the 6S when it was released primarily for the extra storage. I can't think of anything in the 7 or 7S they might be able to add in that will get me to upgrade so soon and had I been smart enough to get the 64 GB 5S I'd likely have skipped the 6th gen and maybe even the 7th as well. Particularly now that my carrier no longer subsidizes the cost of an upgrade. I'm going to stick with the 6S for as long as I possibly can. The cost of upgrading is to high considering what you get in return for it these days.

So why should people buy a new phone every year when the one they have now works perfectly fine. That should tell you something about Apple products when people hold on to them for years and not just throw them away every 6 months. Of course the iPhone sales will tail off, we finally have a bigger phone that people waited for. Everyone is happy now. Those expecting Apple to keep making something better every 3 months will get disappointed eventually.

I guess you really don't understand how stock values affect a company and it's assets. They are NOT a private company, they are a publically traded company. It's not just about how much money you have in the (overseas) banks.

You forgot the biggest feature of the iCar...ONE PORT for charging, music, video and connection to the world. One function at a time...you choose. :)

What, you mean to tell me the company that has spent the last 2 years making a watch, a slightly bigger iPad, and a slightly thinner MacBook aren't top dog anymore?

Shocking. Truly shocking.

I'm wondering why after 2 years, Apple still hasn't opened up the NFC functionality to developers...

Very simple. NFC is locked to the secure enclave so nobody can exploit it in order to gather information from the enclave. This would open up access between the devices root directory and the enclave itself. You can't have your cake and eat it too. I hope NFC is never opened up to developers.

Also. What are other companies using NFC for anyway? All I've seen is audio and the range is atrocious. I'll pass.

Ya? Cool. Can you tell me more about Android's innovation?

Nope, and nor can Google. They come up with clever names like "material design" and "project butter" (like what the...?!) and blow their own trumpet about how they have floating cards and drop shadows, and all that UTTER BOLLOCKS - and Apple have hierarchical, layered design too, but aren't so pretentious to have sat and made up a NAME for it, accompanying it with some long winded nonsense video showing them cutting out bits of card and casting lights upon them, and noting how light behaves... WHO GIVES A CRAP ABOUT THAT UTTER BOLLOCKS? It's all a distraction technique to avoid talking about their BOLLOCKS software and unscrupulous lack of ethics.

If you are bored out of your tiny mind enough to want to read and watch some more Google "material design" bollocks, please click below, where a pretentious twerp team has been put together to collate this BOLLOCKS for your amusement:

I
nstead of studying bits of card, and making VR goggles OUT of card, how about addressing your use of Java as a phone OS, and taking control of handset fragmentation?

BAW-LOCKS! :D

PS: Talking of pretentious piffle, "Don't be evil"? How about "Don't be full of complete bollocks"?

I amazed Google is so valuable. They are just an advertising company - that's the majority of their profits. It's amazing. I know they have tons of other projects, but at their heart just advertising. The Internet has definitely rebalanced the scales.
No kidding. Remember, information IS the future. Not a fan of Google, but their search engine and their Maps are indisputably unequalled, and with an eye towards that future, it's where they definitely have the edge over Apple.

I've said many times over the years that I believe Apple should develop their own search engine. They could quietly pour billions into such a project until they get it right, so as not to repeat the premature release of Maps. A splendid search engine would give Apple a solid financial foundation to pursue their various hardware-based ambitions, while at the same time enabling them to take more bold steps with those latter projects.

They have the talent, and the time is now. If Apple stagnates, the top talent will slowly but surely leave, which would be a disaster for Apple's long term viability.

Can someone explain to me Wall Street is so obessed with only sales revenue when other factors such as, real estate holdings, patent holdings, brand holdings, consumer loyalty, financial holdings, etc matter just as much. Apple is still the most valuable brand in the world but not the most valuable stock symbol. Did I miss a memo here somewhere?

Honestly, I think that Apple is burdened by its own success and expectations are way too high. A life changing device doesn't come around every single year like the users of these forums seem to expect. Honestly I think that the Apple Watch was immensely successful from a design and user interface perspective but it didn't sell as much as the iPhone per quarter. According to current mean estimated sales reports (since we don't have the real numbers), it appears to be outpacing the iPhone for unit sales on a launch year. What more does Wall Street want?

Apple is fine and everyone needs to relax. Every company has its dry spell. What was Google doing shortly after the iPhone was released? Writing backend code and mostly starting out of the limelight with PR or product based announcements and they are doing just fine today. Everyone just settle down. Ja?

I don't buy this explanation for a second. Apple can separate the NFC functionality from the touch security.

I'll pass.

If you have to ask this question then I furthermore doubt the validity of your reply. Sorry!

The NFC range is of course is limited - NFC stands for *Near* Field Communication.

NFC is used for more than just audio. NFC in other devices is used for data transfer, connectivity ( faster / easier WIFI or Bluetooth connections for example ) , and of course, mobile payments...
