"Old" is more of a mentality than an age these days. I just turned 40 myself and I use MOG all the time, happily paying $10 a month to access new music any time I feel like it. That's "new to me" music - not just today's new music. Music I haven't heard. I can't ever imagine being content with only the music I had bought long ago, and we all know buying blindly is for suckers. And I STILL spend hundreds of dollars on CDs and downloads above that. I love music, and I'll take whatever access to it I can get.I must be too old, I don't get the need for this service for a lot of people. I have my old CD's ripped and now available to me via iTunes Match, and using Match I was able to upgrade that low bit rate music that I "acquired" back in he day too. I have my iTunes purchases available via Itunes in the Cloud, as well. I don't spend a $100 a year on new music, in fact a quick look at my purchase history shows that in the last calendar year, I've bought 2 complete albums and 7 songs. I can't see paying a hundie +, to listen to new music. I can see that maybe younger people than I would find this convenient, but as someone who is in his 40's I don't get it. I dread I may have just become that "Get off my lawn you young whippersnappers" guy...aka my dad...![]()
I'll just go on record saying this.
Streaming music services aren't for everyone. If it's not for you - don't subscribe.
If it is - you now have at least one more option.
Because he knows that, like everything else that comes out of Google (this music service included), it's half baked.
Surely you pick a music subscription service based on the bands you like, otherwise what are you buying...I'd guess that Google/Samsung/etc doesn't care about that, they might even be happy about it. Why? Because those who pick a streaming service based on whether it has The Beatles or not tend to be old. So, it works perfectly for Samsung's current strategy of calling iOS/iPhones/iPads/etc old.
That's sorta the point...I didn't have to purchase AirFoil for Pandora or iTunes, just to stream music to my audio system and shouldn't have to for Spotify either.
Google Play Music All Access. Catchy name..
Why this music service is half baked?
what a joke, $120 a year? no thanks
I still dont see why people "buy" digital music, much less "rent" it...
they will just have a new high bandwidth 24bit format soon
and the networks will slow down once again
data plans will explode and everyone gets price gouged, awesome
PS. I only buy vinyl records...
superior sound, art, and the ability to resell (usually at a profit)
Maybe your tastes are too picky?
Pandora just takes some guiding - thumb down anything you don't want on a station, even if you like the song. I have about 10 different stations on Pandora that play almost only music I want because I've taken some time to optimize them.
I use both Pandora and Spotify a lot - Pandora is great if I want minimal intervention, Spotify is great when I'm looking for specific songs or artists or albums.
I use spotify and I find the sound quality much superior to vinyl. You know what I hear in between digital songs on a album - nothing, know what I hear on Vinyl - Hisssssss. If you prefer vinyl that is your opinion. I like the convenience of spotify because my music purchases exceeded $120 per year and with Spotify I get anything I want. I am freer to explore new music and not have to worry if I just wasted my money.

Curious as to why you use both Spotify and Pandora.. You know that Spotify can do the same thing as Pandora right? Radio plays based on a song or band.. thumbs up the ones you like, thumbs down the ones you dont.. Spotify also saves a playlist of your "Liked" songs which is nice...
Google Play Music All Access. Rolls right off the tongue.
Looks like a good alternative to Spotify,
but only iRadio will have The Beatles![]()
They're not the first people in the market of streaming music, and the people already in it already have better services. Why would anyone swap to this from Spotify, for example?
Can play whatever I want when I want? Excellent. Meanwhile Apple is still pursuing the horrible Pandora method. Google - young and modern. Apple - old and out of touch.

Excellent, something for the elderly fanbase that they market phones to.
They are not identical. You are confused. One allows you to pick the songs, one forces you to listen to what they think you will like.
Yet when you stop paying Spotify you lose all those 120 dollars you spend a year.

I don't think Beatles fan tend to be old, me and most of my school friends are good fans, we're all about 20.
It's one of those bands that like most music fans like right?
