Seems that with Google+ and Picasa that you get unlimited photo uploads, but any photo over 2048×2048 pixels will be automatically resized to this. If you want to upload larger photos then you can do so directly to Picasa but it will eat into your 1GB free strorage. They do offer larger storage options for a really good price though! Can be spread across gmail/docs too!

I came really close to buying an invite on eBay, but decided I could wait. Social networking isn't very social if none of your friends have it yet:)

Couple bucks, the feedback for those selling them wasn't so hot though.

Ya I thought about putting something like that in the marketplace here but though it wasn't worth it. Was going to charge $1. I've invited probably twenty people for free here from MacRumors.

do not use the forums to request invites.

'Kay.

That said, I think I'm going to wait a few weeks until it either becomes open or invites become easier to use. Until then, I'm just going to let it slip out of my consciousness. not many people I know have it yet, nor do they care much (for much the same reasons I do)... Also 90% of them are males. :/

Fellow Google+ users: how do you invite? About a week ago I managed to invite quite a few people by adding them to circles and posting messages Roth se streams whereby an email was dispatched to the non-users in the circle. This email contained a link that allowed for my friends to register. Recently, similar emails take very long to dispatch (well over a day) and as others have reported, recipients have been unable to register. If any of you know of different methods, please advise.

It is closed right now but when it is open go to your "Home" section and look on the right side column. The "Invite people to Google+," or something similar will be there. Just checked and it isn't there right now.

I got my invite and played around a bit. It's nice, but I'm somehow not impressed. Facebook lists allow you to do basically the same thing as circles. There are even add-ons that make them look similar. I feel that both Facebook and Google+ really don't want to offer anything new and radical. They'd rather play it safe.

It seems that today, in order to see a real innovation, you have to take a look at indie developpers and their projects. I've seen small guys with much more vision than Goolge+. For example take a look here.

They are allowing invites to be sent as of right now (not sure how long it'll last). If you'd like me to invite you, shoot me a PM.

Loving the way my phone uploads pics i take straight to Picasa. Ace. Will send a few more invites out if you PM me your gmail address.

Been on G+ for a bit. It's nice, gives you very good privacy controls etc, but it seems a bit sparse. I can't make lists of films I like as I can on Facebook, for example. And of course, since hardly anyone is on it, the social aspect is really rather dull.

However, I shall reserve final judgement until it comes out of beta.

My invite (which I received over a week ago) finally went through and let me sign up.

Cool so far, but I forgot how much I don't like browser-based interfaces; I dislike them in general, although Gmail is an exception - it seems like even if my DSL is slow Gmail is always snappy. Google+ is not so snappy.

Yeah i think once this picks up traction it will be huge. Theres an Android app and once Apple approve the iOS app this could really take off. Still sending invites out. PM me
