"Since Jony Ive is no longer Apple's design chief and does not make Apple's product videos, it's not clear why Google has opted to make a video imitating him two years after he left the company."

You really don't get irony, do you? :D

Not even after Google has been naming their phones' colors as "Just Black" or "Absolutely White"?

This is the best trolling Google has made towards Apple until now. Even better than giving names to their phones' colors like "Just Black"

That would have been funny a couple/few years ago, but someone should inform Google it’s 2021. A headphone jack? On their latest phone? Surely, that must be the real joke.

A headphone jack in a phone? Like, an analog jack? You'd think this was 2012, not 2021!

Since you guys figured it out, here's a question you might be able to answer. How is it easily possible to create a mix minus channel mix for phone calls when having phone/video conferences, during streams, etc. when some people are calling in via phone for various reasons? Sure, you can use a lightning/usb-c to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter, but that's the same as having it in the phone. So how would you do it without analog connectors?

Aren‘t these the same clowns that will be releasing their pro phones soon without a headphone jack. 🤦‍♂️😂

Based on your answer, it appears you've already figured it out. Make sure you inform the other three people in the country that also need to know.

At this point Apple’s industrial design language and team deserve to be made fun of. Everything is just flat, boring, unergonomic, and plain lazy. Just in different colours.

Apple has kind of become a parody onto itself.

Glad to see the 3.5mm still around.

I would bet the main reason Apple got rid of it was due to having the AirPods early in the pipeline, and it would have been too obvious if they ditched the 3.5mm jack the same year.

Create a problem and sell the solution.

It’s funny that it’s “still around” yet Google won’t add it to their main pixel line,

that and I have

Remember this is a budget phone. The millions of people on a tight budget will use the headphone Jack.

Its always nice when you get spoofed by a competitor rather than them choosing someone else as it means you're top dog....

Ah, so you have no idea. Thank you for confirming it. All the (semi-) professionals working in the media industry will be glad to know. You forgot the "million" after the "three" btw, but that's ok, given you're not a professional and don't know the market. At least we don't have to inform Mackie, Presonus, Tascam, Allen & Heath, Behringer, Soundcraft and all the other manufacturers of professional audio equipment that they're doing something wrong. ;)

Oh c’mon people this is funny, and it’s nice to see Google being a little self-effacing here. Would be nice if Apple’s marketing team gained a sense of humour rather than pitch everything as a ‘world first’ innovation that their competitors released 2 years earlier.

I can guarantee you this - in 100 years you’re not gonna give a hot damn about Google, Apple or anything else, so just lighten up a little, yeah?

This might have been funny a years ago when Apple was still doing those kinds of videos.

Ok...but if after all these years that's your selling point...

As for Apple, if they want to get rid of ports, fine, if they want to get rid of buttons, fine, but they better make the iPhone as water proof as the Apple Watch soon, so whenever I get home I can just wash the thing under the faucet.

Haven't you heard? Hardcore butthurt Apple fanboys (and girls) don't have a sense of humour. It's been genetically replaced with a "go full defence by attacking what seems to be the other side" gene. ;)
I am not offended as an Apple user. I'm offended as a comedian. (Seinfeld)

I get what they're trying to do, and it's OK to make fun, but what they have here is not really that funny.
