is there an easy way to change this freakin ugly icon if your iPhone is jb? my OCD does not approve of this "web app icon look-alike"

Youtube's mobile site is still better than this new app.
You can view top comments
There's not as many ads as the Youtube app
Click on links in video descriptions
Reply to any commenter in the 'comments' section

Only thing it has going for this new app is you can watch VEVO MVs, that's it

Being able to watch VEVO videos isn't really a big deal in itself. You can use VEVO's own app for those. However it looks like those aren't the only videos you can now access with this app. I checked the Funimation channel and, lo and behold, videos which had mobile view disabled play just fine in this app. I have yet to do any extensive testing, but this could very well apply to all channels.

The YouTube app is the one of the things I missed from Android. It was miles better than the stock YouTube iOS app... Closest thing was mobile version of YouTube.

I've always liked that I can read comments while watching the video (in portrait) and I know you can do this on the iPad

Anyway the only thing that I'd like implemented with this app is the option to reply to comments. Other than that, it's just like the one on Android.

Looks nice but for some major fail reason, it won't let me AirPlay video on my iPhone 4, says my hardware only supports audio which is the biggest load of crap I've ever heard

How is this better than the native ios app?

Same features. No full screen mode that takes up the whole screen via double tap? Google's You tube app when is full screen isn't really 'full screen'.

What good is the app if it cannot take advantage of the iphone 5's larger screen.

And Ads.

So again iOS will be powering Google. It must be quite nice for them. Not only did iOS give them a ton of ideas for Android but it provides them with a lot of revenue.

Too bad I can't seem to find it using the new Search Feaute in iOS6 App store and the link in the article doesn't take me to apps page... I wish Apple would have kept the old search listings or at least made an option instead of forcing this annoying change. Overall this new update is great but some "features" are detrimental.

Looks like a nice app from what I can see from pictures/videos though. Much nicer then the old app. I hope the "History" feature works. I listen to a lot of music through youtube on my phone so it's nice to have a list of songs/mixes/sets I've listened too.

The link is in the article but here it is again: http://appshopper.com/link/youtube. It will take a few hours for the search result to be added to Apple's indexes.

Thanks I found it using this.

I'll need to test this later, but that would seriously suck balls if you could not airplay video.

I'm running iOS 5 and it's still not showing up in the search results.

Hang on a minute.

I thought Apple fans hated Google with a passion, why is everyone wanting this on their phone and not accepting Apple's way?

Why would you be all putting a Google app on your phone if you despise them so much?

It obviously looks a lot better than the aging app (and its ugly icon). Hope that it's true of the feature set as well.

1/10

Please try harder.

Gimme HD

Bout time, except that it serves me up the crapest quality videos when I'm not on WiFi... It's my choice to chew my data up using the better quality vids... IF they don't make it default, at least give the setting to choose the default.
