Just looking online for fun, and both Best Buy and Google have crap trade-in offers.

Best Buy States only $500 trade-in for my mint condition Pixel 9 Pro XL. And Google only $600.

I then checked my carrier and T-Mobile offering $800 trade-in.

But I'm absolutely going to wait for your real reviews first before making a decision. If it's barely any better than my 9 Pro XL, then no point in getting the 10 Pro.

Do you know when the review embargo expires? I really want to know how the battery life is 🙂‍↕️
I can predict it, because this is easy. The reviews will be both negative and positive regarding the battery. Most Pixel users will happy with their purchase saying, "see, a big deal was made out of the battery, when it didn't exist".

When the Pixel 11 launches those same people will be saying I hope Google fixes the battery problems. ;)

The storage options TMobile offer aren't very good although the trade in is better than what Google offers.

I don’t think they all do, but it seems confusing. Based on this article, it seems…

On the 128 GB you get UFS 3.1
On the 256 GB you get UFS 4.0
On the 512 and 1 TB you get Zoned UFS 4.0

That is confusing.

So the base model gets the old crappy UFS. But what's a zoned version mean?

Yeah, I don't understand "Zoned" either. I read the article and am more confused?

It groups and stores similar kinds of data in separate zones of the drive. It’s performance is supposed to degrade less with age than regular UFS 4.0, giving it a longer lifespan. It also doesn’t slow down when under load or nearly full.

Usually on a ssd data is spread across the whole drive to even out wear and tear, but with zoned, its kept in one area, or zone of the drive. it saves having to delete data across a whole drive, there's a bit more to it than that,

T-Mobile don't offer all the colors and only 128GB. Plus only offers me $130 for a trade in.
Google much better
Right, their colors and storage options aren't very good. Weird because AT&T has better storage options. But they give me a lot more for my phone than Google but 128GB is not happening for me.

So it looks like the 512GB version is the one to get IMO

I have a true Google store in my area, might just stop by on release day check it out.

At official Google retail stores can you do the same deals and trade-ins right there on the spot like you would via online Google Store?

I actually have an used Pixel 6 Pro sitting in a drawer, wonder what'd they give me for that towards a Pixel 10 Pro? Or would they take both my 6 Pro and current Pixel 9 Pro XL combined as a trade-in?

You can already check out the pixel 10, the 10 pro and the 10 pro xl, at least here in Germany they have them on display, no fold though :(

Good comment from another forum;

"The 256GB versions are still big improvements with UFS 4 — it's just that zoned storage is reserved for the highest configs.

As it stands, I'm less concerned about raw performance and more that Google is still selling 128GB Pro phones in 2025. If you care enough to go Pro, that kind of space is increasingly limiting. I was annoyed when Samsung sold the base Galaxy S25 with that amount, and I'll feel the same if Apple ships a starter iPhone 17 with that amount (the 17 Pro is rumored to be 256GB minimum)."

My opinion; the 256GB with UFS 4.0 should be the base model for both Pro's. Yeah the Zoned UFS 4 is better, but not necessary or as noticeable an upgrade for most people. But 4.0 over 3.1 UFS is noticeable and 3.1 shouldn't even be in the Pixel 10 Pro's.

Agreed. If there aren't UFS 4.0 128GB modules, then they should just kill that SKU.

I debated canceling the 256 GB and getting a 512, but for now I am sticking with my preorder until I see some reviews or benchmarks that say I should have spent the extra $. SK Hynix announced ZUFS 4.0 and 4.1 back in 2024 and everyone thought it was going to be in the S25 Ultra and it wasn't and that phone is still really fast (it has the regular UFS 4.0). We all know Tensor is still the Pixel bottleneck, so I don't think cutting edge ZUFS will make any difference. Maybe the storage will last longer, but I have never had a phone long enough for that to be a problem.

Got a shipping notification this morning. UPS. Waiting for the tracking number to start working so I can see if it is overnight, 2-day, etc. Delivery is still estimating Aug 28-29 on Google's order status.

Update: UPS Ground from Illinois. Arriving 8/28.

Has anyone received their Pixel 10, XL or Fold yet? Also wonder if any of you have ordered the Pixel Watch 4?
