The Fold 6 and 7 are only rated for solids ingress 1mm and grater the P10fold is rated as dust tight for up to 8 hours in a vacuum 🙂

Ok so both are more durable? I wonder if the iPhone fold will be as durable. I’m a foldable skeptic, but i do like the look of both the Fold 7 and the Pixel 10 Fold.

It will be as the same engineering by Samsung and it's other suppliers re no crease hinge etc will be on both IFold and Fold 8

So for everyday use, which one would you say is more durable as a foldable? Pixel 10 Pro or the Fold 7? Or wait for Apple’s iPhone Fold?

Can't speak for the 10 Pro Fold, but my 9 Pro Fold is still in fantastic condition. My Fold 7 took a nasty spill out of my truck to the concrete last week. Case popped off and got a scratch/ding on the corner that bothers me, but all in all it took it great. I'd say both are plenty durable and any screen issues not caused by damage should be covered under warranty. I have no worries at all carrying a foldable as my daily.

If you're that afraid of any damage to your phone, minor or otherwise, don't get a foldable. I just packed up my 9 Pro Fold for trade in and while it was in overall very good condition, the inner screen has a soft protector and it will show imperfections over time. It doesn't bother me...hell, the natural crease up the middle is much more noticeable than any minor scratches.

Minor update on my new 10PF and Pixel Watch 4. Really enjoying both, moving my main number from my iPhone/Apple Watch Ultra for first time in years and will be keeping it here for at least a year. The battery life on both has been great, especially on the Watch. The watch comes off the charger around 6 am and last night when I popped it on the charger to top it off before bed (using it for sleep tracking), it was at 65%. Let it charge for maybe 15 min and it was back near 100%. Anecdotally, feels better than my Apple Watch Ultra, both is battery life and fast charging. Genuinely impressed with the Watch so far.

Overall, the phone feels not really different from my 9PF but the brighter screen is a welcome improvement and love the Pixel Snap.

My biggest gripes are the same I've had and generally have to do with Android itself and app limitations so won't belabor that here.

This durability issue imo is just over hyped 🙂

Let's face it your laptop KB has virtually no protection and is likely to be subject to more particle ingress than fluff from your pocket in the hinge in a Fold

Like most I don't treat my Fold any different to my slab phone including on the beach or around the pool or during DIY

If anything the Fold inner screen is more protected during transport than a slab phone as its closed

Up until the IP14 the back cover of an IPHONE was in the order of $500 to repair yet millions were sold without over emphasise on this durability

Unless your a carpenter cutting MDF and using an orbital sander everyday with your phone on your saw bench the pixel ip 68 rating is a bonus for those extrame cases

If your worried about buying an expensive car or designer goods and expensive phones and then damaging them then insure them treat them with reasonable care or just buy something cheaper lol

I do not see any logical reason to distinguish between Samsung Pixel or even the future IFOLD durability , it's part habit and part mindset adjustment that's required 🙂

Just mentally build in an extra $13+ a month for whatever insurance you are getting on a foldable phone when you budget for it. No matter which one you get, *maffia voice* it would be a shame if something were to happen to it.

After having a Fold 5 for almost two years I'm not concerned about durability of either the Pixel 10 Fold or the Z Fold 7.
Also based on YouTube I really like how two apps look side by side on the Pixel even though I really like the multitasking on the Samsung.

Let us know about the watch. I saw some redditors saying the raise to talk wasn't working reliably.
Timing seems to be key. If I talk at my PW4 as I raise, it works 9 times out of 10... If I wait just a split second after raise, it works 3 times out of 10. <Jobs> Wonder if I'm talking at it wrong? </Jobs>

Brilliant otherwise... easily rock just into a 3rd day on a single charge with this. Very happy with the change back to Pixels and away from the fruit watch as well (although I still have it sitting on the desk as a clock).

I spent my holiday abroad this week putting the Pixel's cameras through their paces.

Having recently lived with the S25 Ultra and iPhone 16 Pro, I can confirm the Pixel's camera, especially when it comes to stills, is an absolute knockout. It's safe to say I was not expecting to be this impressed.

The Magic Eraser is just the little bit of digital sorcery I didn't know I needed. Video is perfectly serviceable, and frankly, my big temptations to jump ship back to the Apple garden have been severely downgraded.

Naturally, with two little terrors kids running around, still camera utility isn't just a preference; it's practically a parenting survival tool.

Safe to say you’re still happy with it over the s25 ultra?

Argh. £799 for a 10 Pro PLUS free buds 2 on the pixel store plus £79 back in store credit… 🥵 is mighty tempting.

Someone book me into therapy. I may have to do it.

Is there a new deal on? It only shows as £999 for me plus the free Buds Pro 2.

I have an email from them with £200 off which works with the free buds offer which surprised me!
