Google and their promos are so infuriating. Yeah it's still a good deal but 40% off makes you think you get 40% off current price. Nope. It's 40% off MSRP or an additional 20% off what's listed now.

I guess my beef is with how they advertise it. The promo codes are likely only valid while the current sale is on so it's an additional ~20% off.
Amazon have got some good deals on, Pixel 10 Xl 256GB with a Pixel Watch 3 45mm is £999. Not sure if the US have same deal but it's worth a look for those interested.

They tend to be stable from my past experiences and I figure load it early in case I have any issues I can just factory reset and load again out of beta.
Usually, yes. But I rarely hop on the first beta of anything until the dust settles a bit. Getting enrolled in Pixel betas is sometimes a bit of a wait and see - you will sometimes get the beta same day, but othertimes it takes 72-ish hours. And getting off the betas without wiping your data requires you follow the updates closely and time it correctly. Definitely join android_beta on Reddit. Currently there are some reports of apps crashing - mostly banking apps and Microsoft apps it seems.

XL action, case a little slippery till I break in but I'm digging it
I almost pulled the trigger on the smaller phone but then with the deal being so good I decided to go with the XL
The bigger phones are hard for me to use one handed but so much easier to see. Next time I will probably go back to a foldable or get the XL.
