I lost 2% mostly on idle from 7am thru 6pm
No performance issues or lag. The performance seems the same as the 9a. The only difference is that the fingerprint scanner is incredibly fast and accurate 99% of the time. That could change as it gets somewhat hot and humid where I live and the day time temps are already beginning to climb in FL.
I'm also running the display at the default 60Hz and it is still very smooth. A seriously nice phone for $94.
My suggestion would be to order a Pixel, try it. If you don't like it, you have 15 days to return it to Google, no questions asked.
At some point you'll need to stop asking questions and decide to jump in the pool. Our experiences are unique so another person may have had NO issues but you may find issues you can't accept. OTOH, you may find it to be smooth sailing while someone else may have nothing but problems. You will only find that out by trying a Pixel 10 for yourself.

I'm going to ask as my questions as I need in order to have enough knowledge and motivation to justify spending the time purchasing one.
You can ask all the questions you want till the end of time. Your experience will likely be different than others. It's like looking in and watching people sitting and eating at a restaurant, wondering what's the food like? You won't know until you try it yourself and form your own opinion.

I understand this. It’s what I did before I took the plunge and purchased my Pixel 10 Pro XL. I can honestly say it’s the best decision I made.

Some people are just more inquisitive, I was the same before buying my Pixel 10 Pro XL. I do understand your point tho, people have different experiences and needs.
I can never understand the complaints about the Tensor chip for example, to me it is snappy, no lags or anything. I don’t game on my phones tho, I have consoles to do that, where as other people might love gaming on their phones.
No doubt but I too had lots of questions about the iPhone. I finally decided that in order for me to decide if it was better than Android, I bought one. I found out that Android was the better choice. I only figured that out by purchasing an iPhone. That's why that iPhone was used as a trade in towards a Pixel 10a.
I had a lot of questions about the Pixel before I made the switch and that was coming from a Samsung. I watched a LOT of videos on the 10 Pro and put my hands on them in the store a few times as well.

I just got confirmation of my $305 trade in from Google for my iPhone 13. 🥳
When I take a picture and go to that photo immediately it is processing high resolution image. Why does it take so long? The end result is always pleasing but I can't take a picture and show it to someone immediately. I assume it's due to processing power but is that correct?

The processing time isn't just down to hardware but that's part of it. Google uses a lot of computational photography. That one picture you took may actually have been several, google then does its magic and stitches them all together to give you the one, normally awesome picture.
You'll just have to wait a few seconds to show off your pic.
Google's Tensor chips aren't the fastest SoC's on the market. I would love to see a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in a Pixel because I would guess that it would probably chew up and spit out a processed high rez photo in record time.
And I base that on seeing how a regular SD 8 Gen 5, performs in my OP15r. It takes roughly 25-35 minutes to do a big update on my Pixel phones whereas I did a 1GB system update on my OP15r and it downloaded, installed and was ready to restart in about 5 minutes.
I know it's doing a lot of magical stuff to make the picture look great but I would like it to work faster. But I'll deal with it.
The tensor works pretty well for most things I do but I was curious if the time to process the photo was due to the processing power. I think it does but I could be wrong.
Based on their track record, Google tends not to use the most advanced hardware in most if not all of their products and instead uses software, tricks and AI to compensate for that. I tend to view Google's approach with it's magical software as Nvidia's DLSS technology. As a result they can achieve exceptional results with underperforming hardware vs the competition. That is the case with a camera that is nowhere as advanced as what Apple or Samsung would use because the software and AI makes up for it.
So when I see what a SD 8 can do when it takes a Tensor chip 4-5 times more to update a phone via an OTA, I will assume that is the case in other aspects of their phone's performance.
One of the reasons the Pixel Tablet bombed was that Google made the choice to use subpar hardware vs the competition. As such the tablet was average at best. I know because I'm typing this on a Pixel tablet.
I think that's a reasonable take. Mostly I don't notice the lack of horsepower with the processor but at times it does show.
I hope the camera hardware is upgraded for the 11 series because I think the current setup has reached it's limits. Although it's still very very good.
The tensor g2 was why I kept my iPad and then went to the Galaxy tab S9+. It seemed more of a Google home master control with tablet functionalities than a tablet to me
For the basics it performs in a decent way. It's when you want it to do something in a quick way that you notice that the internals are not in the same league as Qualcomm.
Yup, that's a good comparison especially when you put the tablet on the dock that was sold with it.

I have a Pixel 8 pro and an s25 ultra on my desk right now. I don't see the difference in speed between them. I do photo and video recording and the normal phone stuff. I don't game so maybe there is a difference when gaming but day to day stuff and doing photos and videos they perform the same.
The only time in my usage that I question the processing power is when I take a picture and it takes several seconds to process it. Otherwise the phone is fast and smooth.
