I see apple have taken features from android for iOS 26
They are about to announce a thin iPhone
Yet Samsung have already done it
Next year comes the foldable iPhone yet Samsung have had one for years
Apple make big screen phones yet Samsung had big devices first compared with the puny
4inch iPhone 5

And again copying is copying. Apple customers spend billions every quarter. That amounts to a lot.
How can it all be announcements when you can actually use the thing or purchase the product in a retail store then if you base it on your logic from 2007 then apple have copied these competitors more in the last 10 years or so because we have actual evidence to compare and contrast.
Again it’s a bit strange to keep talking about a company making money when it doesn’t benefit me as a consumer if they do as I don’t get a cut from the profits it’s a bit odd
It’s a fact google copied iOS. But announcements don’t equal first. What matters is when companies started to work on these items. I don’t disagree android rushes to release many things first, albeit unpolished and rough around the edges. Apple releases many features after android (but not all) that are polished to perfection.
It’s also a bit strange not to recognize that one of the health checks of a company is their revenue. It means the company has the wherewithal to provide better products for a consumer. As a consumer you directly benefit.
If you’re argument is apple released the iPhone before google developed android as is
Then you can use the same logic for everything that google has implemented before apple into android
And then what device manufacturers have produced before apple has in the last 10 years
Bigger phones and foldable devices and all screen displays to name a few all before apple

Use any logic you want. You can’t prove any one company developed anything before another company.
All you can cite is the announcement cement and release, which probably has no bearing on the start of development.

It’s not announcements it’s facts that in the last 10 years or more the Android side has been more innovative in terms of software features and hardware releases when you compare & contrast both sides since Tim Cook has been in charge he’s sat back and waited to see what sticks with the competition and then implemented that towards apple
Sorry. You dont know when hardware software was conceived and started to be worked on. For the most part only announced.
But have your opinion. Apple customers like to spend to the tune of billions a quarter. Apple customers except for some vocal minority don’t care who started work in it first announced it first.

Can you tell me what date Apple started to think about and design a foldable phone? Was it in 2020, 2014 etc. the point is you are going on announcement dates to show a ridiculous argument.

Yeah apple started to think about foldable devices after Samsung released theirs in 2019
Just like apple decided to start working on a big device after the original note came out in 2011
Just like the three new features on iOS 26 that have been on android for years just like nightsight on android and then all of a sudden the next year it’s on iOS

Copying is copying and a citation is worth more than opinions.
The thing that is ironic about the above list is the copying that android did. The biggest one being lenses inventor is Kodak.

And this has been the pattern under Tim Cook since has put in charge just sit back and wait for the competition and then down the line implement it into apple’s products
You left out a few features that android cooied, such as 64 bit architecture. Face ID, iMessages, etc. there’s a big list. And you also neglected that android didn’t exactly invent many features but borrowed them such alas the finger print reader and OLED (which was autocorrected in the last post)
And iOS swept the floor with features they innovated and showed android had to do right.
And you still have no citations of the r&d cycle.

And was that secure enough to use in financial transactions? Nope. In fact the iPhone X was the first phone to fully rely on Face ID authentication. Not android.

The issue and you’ve pointed it out is android throws in random features. Apple produces a cohesive experience with spit and polish that’s light years ahead of android.
Here’s some iOS firsts and they were game changers that android copied.
- made the market
- ditched the sim and headphone jack
- 64 bit
- Corning gorilla glass
- secure Face ID
- capacitive touch acreen
- dual core processors
- high resolution display
- integrated sensors
Every android phone that has any of the above is continually copying apple.
