As i said Before:

"Müller argues the picture in the German complaint could be of a prerelease prototype, which showed up during discovery procedures in Apple's case against Samsung in the U.S. last April."

And with some very Simple checking with the Models that had been submitted, This is indeed the case.

And look at the Merits of he case before posting this obvious dribble.

They got it on Merits of the Design, Not Software - Look it up.

Even if it is true that the picture is that of a prototype, how is it legal to ask for an injunction of Tab 10.1 based on a picture of another device? Besides, the prototype theory is a pure speculation. The guy just could not believe that Apple was capable of such lies.

Find me, ANYWHERE, people that are obsessed and evangelical about any product as they are with apple.

Try Android. Not only are the Android fans "obsessed" and "evangelical," but incessantly angry as well.

No one makes as much noise on the Web these days as the Android brigade.

Really??? They're all over...One example would be a gaming website (game trailers) go into the forums and your mind will blown away. Im actually inclined into believing that your just acting dumb for the sake of defending your statements. I mean no disrespect but I'm just saying that its really hard to believe that you don't see this sort of behavior (fanboy-ism) everywhere else.

It's called trolling. No one can be that dumb :D

i think this is pretty good post. To me it is possibly coming down to a three horse race - Apple, Google, Windows. Personally i see room for all three to exist with all having advantages. Since the mobile race is on, it could help settle the market by edging out HP/Palm OS (although i still like it) and RIM (too static, too little to late).
- Desperation move by Motorola.
- Necessary and opportunistic move by Google.
- Probably a small win for Microsoft, Google is now a hardware maker - gives them (MS) opportunity to make stronger ties with Samsung, HTC, etc
- Small loss for Apple, because it's harder for them to go after smartphone competitors
- Samsung, LG, HTC, should be happy but nervous (Google is a partner, but a direct competitor)
- Not sure what it means for HP or RIM... probably bad.

Please, This is a Made up Story to get Clicks from no other then PC World.

Did you Read this part that says it all.

So as for your Checkmate,

Just escaped Checkmate By Counter-Attack (look it up- it Exists)

Move On.

Even if that is the case, Apple is still fraudulous; They moved to stop the sales of a very specific device (G10.1), and in doing so provided the court with a non-accurate image of said device in order to sway the court.

In fact, if they indeed went to such lengths as to dig up old prototypes rather than provide the court with accurate, actual, images that is still just as bad. Why would they do that if not for the sake of fooling the judge?

Wonder if I, as a citizen, can press charges for this. I, for one, take the legal system seriously. If you Americans want to have a bogus one, that's your prerogative, but leave ours the **** alone.

Name 5 things wrong with iOS or the iphone hardware? Or a combination of both?

I invite any apple fan to write something. We will see how many people can be objective.

So I'll ask again (since pointless questions seem to be ok): Are you shocked that there are fanboys on this forum? If not, are you just trolling too?

Shocked ? no. Disappointed ? Sure. Upset ? This isn't quite so important to me. Seems to me you're upset for being called out on your duality and lack of objectivity more than I am at posters here refusing to see the world logically and objectively.

In the end, it's those posters that have to live with themselves and their irrational love of all things done by 1 single corporate entity. I'm happy to know I don't have such a burden to like everything coming out the doors of Cupertino's own or any other corporation around.

You can't have possibly thought I thought you were...right?

Then don't call me bro.

1) can't search contents of app db's (spotlight only sees the NAME of apps). Even lowly palmos offered a way for apps to publish search results

2) no external indicators of alerts (LEDs, etc)

3) no widgets (perhaps soon to be solved via the notification screen)

4) no ability for icons to update themselves (e.g. the clock app should show the time. weather apps should show an icon reflecting the weather. etc.)

5) speech recognition currently sucks

6) maps app is far behind competing platforms (no 3-D view, no dynamic nav, etc.)

7) rearranging icons on the home screen is a pain in the ass.

Maybe, but even if companies look at MS/Nokia, they'll realize neither company has anything competitive to offer--and with the track record MS has in mobile, there is simply no reason to believe it will magically come up with anything new.

Yeah, they just magically became the two dominants in respective field. Oh wait, magic is patented by Apple, so i guess it all came down to sheer luck.

Nokia has tons of assets and the infrastructure in place, MSFT has tons of cash and stamina. That's usually a good start of a recipe for success. As for something new, Wp7 already beats iOS in that area - pre Mango. Unless Apple gets their act together they will be out of the running (for market dominance, not meaning they wont be making solid profits) in just a few years.

Nobody is on the level of apple evangelicals. You will not see people camping out in front of stores for days just to buy an Android handset.

You're right in a lot of ways. I used to see Apple products and curse at the "insane" prices of their stupid colorful toy products ... Did it for years.

I was a windows and hi-spec high speed computer fan boy all the way. Problems with vista, Dell's plummeting quality and innovation to their latitude line, Leno's pathetic screens, some viruses, lock ups, over priced software with high learning curves .... I'd had enough.

Bought a RevA MacBook Air, WOW did I like the OS, the Air was great, RevB was real good, then came the iPhones, iMac, Mac Pro ... Eventually I switched over my whole company to Macs. Best move I ever made electronics wise.

How can I not be a fan boy. Add to that Apple is the innovator behind all this, iPhones, iPads, iMac, MacBook Air's ... hell if it wasn't for Apple we all be slugging around 7 pound laptops with pathetic screens.

Goggle makes me sick, a wolf in sheeps clothing for sure, sly and crooked with the "poor us" approach to the unknowing public. They'll screw over HTC, Samsung et al the second they get the opportunity.

Support the misleading copycat's or the forward thinking Apple it's your choice. For me I can't get to dumping every google service we used fast enough.

Rock on Apple and Steve Jobs!

You missed the biggest one - no file system (and no flash cards)

how can anyone look at this and think, yeah google wins!!? 12.5 billion, a 1/3 of their cash reserve for moto?? people act as if "anything with android" on it is a huge profit for google. it really isn't. even if there were 4 android phones for every iPhone guess which company would be making more money? did you guess google? wrong. it's apple. if apple were to license iOS they would crush google in the phone/tablet market. not because iOS is so much better, but because iTunes/appstore is so much better. and the app store is where apple rakes in the money. that could sell the iPhones/ipads at a loss and still makes billions. nortel was the first strike. moto is googles answer? 1/3 of their can on a losing company?? could go higher. i'm sure moto's stock is soaring today. and since it's 60% above close today. i have apple's phone and pad mainly due to the appstore. i also like the quality of the products. they are glass and metal, not plastic. but it's the apps and the fact that the work properly. you can't say the same for android. all the sizes and processor difference give you different levels of success with each app on each product. i also believe that apple has made some really smart smaller acquisitions and deals. siri, all the mapping and 3d mapping tech, and their deal with nuance. iOS 5 is going to be a huge leap forward even if they don't get everything in in one release. voice commands built in every app. siri's virtual assistant software and hopefully a new and better than google mapping software(not sure it will make it in iOS 5) also the giant server farm going online in NC and their integrated cloud system. that stuff is already in house. add to that's apple's market cap and cash in hand and i just don't see google "defeating" apple.

I personally think the biggest iOS/iPhone issue is the completely useless task manager. It doesn't actually manage tasks, it's just a big list of "whatever apps you've opened, running, suspended or not since the last time you've cleaned this damn list".

Useless.

Bravo! Your list happens to match mine! Looks like you can be objective! Who else wants to join in? :D

Good point. though I guess I'm getting used to it - I could live with just some universal method of sending data from one app to another (or allowing an app to read data from another app off the iCloud).

Your posts are irrelevant to what the original discussion was. Some troll came here acting like he was shocked that fanboys existed. I pointed out that they exist everywhere. That's all it is. I didn't express my opinions on Apple, my opinions on Google or my opinions on anything other than the fact that fanboys exist everywhere on the internet. Now you're trying to flip that into me being called out for my duality? Ok. If it makes you sleep better.

I've said it before, I don't even own an iPhone or an iPod, and I own 3 android phones and love android. However, I'm not naive enough to suggest that fanboys only exist at MacRumors, or silly enough to suggest that I can't figure out why fanboys exist, or foolish enough to act like Google does "no evil". Gimme a break. I call a spade a spade, and there's plenty of dumb fanboys on this site for Apple/Google, just like there are on android sites for Google/Apple.

Trying to defend the troll makes you look doubly silly.

Then don't call me bro.

I apologize. I didn't realize that colloquialisms rip you to the core, but I guess I should have realized your sensitive nature since you are disappointed that fanboys exist...

What more do you need to do on iOS? (beyond, perhaps, a "kill all?")

How about multitasking access for all apps that want it? Currently can download an in app purchase and switch to playing angry birds and my pruchase still downloads. That is a simple example, but this would work with anything I download for the internet too?

Not sure what you're asking for unless you are asking for unfettered multitasking. Whether or not unfettered multitasking is a feature or a problem depends on your priorities.

Personally, I find that any time I actually want "multitasking" to occur on iOS it does - audio continues in the background, my RSS reeder keeps downloading feeds once it starts, etc. I'm willing to give up the ability for things to just multitask at-will for the battery life of iOS, which, on average, seems to be way above the competition.

I don't need angry birds to keep running in the background so long as when I return to it it LOOKS like it's been running in the background because it starts immediately where I left off.

wow, can you imagine all those Motorola devices that will now have the ability to be purely Google branded?

Your cable modem (I'm currently using a SB6120 modem)
Your TV cable set top box (Comcast uses motorola boxes for their customers)
Your Smartphone (Droid series, and more)
Your Feature Phone
Your Router
Your Phone
and more

Motorola Mobility + Google = the perfect marriage.

This is a much better buy, then say, Zynga or LinkedIn IPO come Q1 2012 :p

Really? Any android forums I've been on, people are mostly talking about their android phones and aren't really snarking on people who like a phone with a competing OS. No one seems angry, obsessed, or evangelical at all.

Stop projecting. It's intellectually unhealthy.
