I wonder if there would be a desire anywhere for a smart-ish pocket watch, lose the sensors and have a bigger screen. Still get notifications and have haptics for quiet, but not have to have a wristwatch. Just thinking out loud.
I think about that occasionally, and maybe? AW is too expensive to justify that use case IMO, but I guess if you had an old Series 3 lying around you could use it like that. Problem is at that point it's not any more convenient than just pulling your phone out, unless you're going phone-less.... in that case you're either assuming that you'll have wifi or you're paying for a data plan for this old watch, so I still come back to thinking that it'd really only work as a fashion statement or conversation starter.
 
I’d like to see Apple release a round design at some point, I do like the aesthetics of a traditional round casing, even though the Apple Watch has a ‘modernized look’, it would really diversify the Apple Watch if the competition starts following this trend.

By the way…

I actually like the way this Pixel watch looks. And if I was operating on an Android device, I’d buy that.
