It's sort of funny to me to see so many comments about the "pink" iPhone being emasculating and it taking away a man card. I work in the public school system, in high need high schools. So these boys are probably the most concerned about looking "tough" as any kid you'll find. The trend right now is neon pink backpacks and shoes. So I really predict the entire school getting the rose gold phone.

And yet adult men are worried about their man cards? Just a little strange to me. But then it's good to know that my kids are a little more secure in themselves...

Apple isn't the first to come up with that design. I've had The Lighting Dock (without back support) since iPhone 5. I've reused this same dock for the 5s and now the 6. Never had a problem using it with three generations of iPhones.
I don't doubt that it's a design that's been used. I'm just looking at the design in terror knowing that I have an almost two year old that grabs at anything he can lol.

My son loves everything pink (he is just under two). My mom has a huge problem with this despite me telling her to let him enjoy what he wants. It is what it is. I don't wear pink because I don't like it. I was that way with red too (that and I suck at laundry and I end up throwing red in with whites which in turn turn pink; wow I think I figured out why I may not like pink lol). When I was in school I could totally see getting picked on for wearing pink, or having a pink backpack, etc. I'm NOT about changing who you are to fit in. At the same time, depending on circumstances, I can see people avoiding things just so they can stop being ridiculed.

I'm now going off on a tangent but I loved the boy band NSYNC when I was in middle school (if it wasn't clear, I am a 30 year old male). The amount of hatred I got for that was insane. I eventually ended up just not showing my love for the band (no shirts, binders, etc) just to get people to leave me alone. So, again, it's ine thing to be comfortable in who you are, and another to just want to avoid constant berating by your peers. Some of us are in a point in our lives where that won't happen (I am happily at that point now). Some of us are not.

As a woman whose favorite colors are black, blue, and silver, I see no problems with men carrying the rose gold phone. I think of it the same way I think of a man that wears a pink shirt or tie...it can be very handsome.

I ordered the space gray 6s+ and there is no question of my femininity. If a male wants a rose gold phone, go for it! Apple did choose a man to sport the rose gold in the release video!

It's way out of Apple's character but I definitely think they should have figured out a way for people to see the phone prior to ordering. Maybe should have put it on display the days after the announcement and before preorder so folks could see it live and direct.

I think that's a little different. As a guy I own a pink shorts that I wear on a regular basis as well as a couple of pink dress shirts. I also have a nice lavender tie and dress shirt that I wear with a dark suit. However, I won't wear pink accessories/jewelry.

it is literally not even a little bit different.

don't like it, no one will force you to buy it but the color of a person's accessories or tech says nothing about them. Says something about whomever is judging.

not even rose gold.

how the rose gold should have looked

I'm merely expressing my own opinion/preference. I have no problems wearing pink clothes but won't wear pink accessories/jewelry.

So, what, your security in your manhood only goes so far? I hope you don't judge others by that standard.

Gold with black front, take my $$$$$$

+1. I'm willing to forgive the pinkish hue if it had a black front, but pink/white is too feminine for my taste.

Never said I was judging. I don't judge men who choose to wear red pumps either.

2 whole days, and we're still discussing pink and manliness ... its times like these I can't wait for the phones to be delivered, just so we have a distraction so big enough, there's not a thread about it. I'll get off my editorial soap box now.

I just like to click on this thread because the OP is pretty hot. I admit it.

I have to disagree with all those saying it is anything but PINK. I suggest everyone who is worried about the phone looking too pink go take a look at the aluminium rose gold Apple Watch in store. This will have the same finish as the new iPhone 6S. After looking at it today, it really depends on the lighting and the angle you are looking from. See the attached pictures of the exact same watch...picture taken from two different angles just a few minutes ago (no alterations or color adjustments made).

Personally, I didn't want a overly pink looking phone. Not because I think it makes me less of a man, but I just prefer the more copper shade on my phone. With that said, after looking at the watch today, I am perfectly happy with the color and am looking forward to my Rose Gold iPhone which I have pre-ordered. Hope this helps all those worried about it looking too girly or too pink. I don't think that is the case like the OP is claiming.

Thanks this helps! I really like how it looks in the TV ad when the african american gentleman pulls it out of his pocket.

Two things to keep in mind: 1) Apple Stores are filled with strong fluorescent light and that can affect color perception (like the Space Black AW looking gunmetal inside the display case instead of black in real life), and 2) we have the question of whether the rose gold aluminum AW is exactly the same hue as the rose gold iPhone/dock. We know the space gray AW is significantly darker than that of the space gray iPhone so it can go either way.

What material is it?
You feel the price tag is reasonable?

Anodized aluminum just like iPhone.
