Got my Rose Gold iPhone 6S+ dock and it's definitely pink

Thank you Thesiren for sharing pictures of the dock and news about the color. Coppery or pink, I was going to be happy either way. Now I'm tickled pink! I hope Caligurl won't have any regrets about choosing space grey, but she is going to put hers in a skin or case anyway.

Love the pics! I ordered the rose gold and got the iPhone 6s Plus Case, Spigen® [Neo Hybrid EX] PREMIUM BUMPER [Rose Gold] Clear TPU / PC Frame Slim Dual Layer Premium Case to use with it. The only thing I'm worried about is the stability of the phone with the case on.

I've always loved rose gold jewelry. I have lots. There are so many variations. That's the beauty. I was hoping it was the rose gold color of my Michael Kors watch but I thinks the watch is more copper. I mix gold jewelry with rose gold I get compliments all the time. Can't wait. There is a shortage now but wait till the 25th lots of guys will be returning so more will be available. Lol.

I have to disagree completely. I saw the rose gold dock in store today, and it was much less pink than I was expecting. The pictures do not accurately portray the true color, that's for sure!

So the phone "hovers" over it's stand and doesn't sit flush?

Not clear from your pictures if it's upright or reclined?

I actually wish I'd ordered the rose gold instead of gold for my 64GB 6s+. By the time I changed my mind regarding which to order (I currently have the 6+ gold), rose gold was already backordered and I was afraid I'd lose my launch-day appoinment. My Apple Store appointment is at noon on 9/25 so I'm hoping someone with an appointment before me decides they don't want pink and thus one is available for me!

Not OP but I've checked out the dock and the bubble is for 3rd party cases so the connector can still access the port. It is slightly reclined I think for aesthetics and better visual on a desk/night cabinet.

I feel the same. My dock gets here tomorrow, and if it's anything like this purpley-pink rose gold Spigen case I just opened... I see an exchange in my future.

I am beginning to panic. I ordered Rose Gold thinking it would be like that original rose gold of the real gold apple watch but instead we are getting real pink. It beggars belief that Apple comes out with a colour in such bad taste. Ostentatious! This after the horrid white bands shows that Apple without Steve Jobs are no longer the leaders in design but just another company aiming for the lowest in taste - they know pink is a hit with the types who watch Kardashians etc I. E. Low culture. The Rose gold of the watch earlier this year was tasteful...this isn't. What to do?

I suggest everyone calm down and wait until their phone actually arrives before freaking out over the pink/rose gold/blue/purple/whatever color. You might end up liking it, you might end up hating it, but there's nothing you can do right now if you've already placed an order aside from cancelling it and lining up for another one. And that would be a silly thing to do.

Just for the record, I also ordered a rose gold 6S+. I'm not thrilled by the fact that it seems too pink, but eh I'll wait until it's in my hands.

I agree. The rose gold aluminum is artificially colored and I'm not sure why Apple made their rose gold aluminum more pink than copper. They could have easily made it more copper like on the limited edition Rose Gold Note 3 pictured below. However, at least Apple isn't misleading anyone because all the marketing pics of the rose gold iPhone are clearly on the pink side and all of you who ordered the rose gold model knew this.

I do NOT watch the Kardashians. I read about them in the tabloids!

Actually I think gold and rose gold/pink were selected with the Asian market trends in mind. Now what I'm not sure about is how they decided on that particular shade of maybe-pink.

Apple isn't the first to come up with that design. I've had The Lighting Dock (without back support) since iPhone 5. I've reused this same dock for the 5s and now the 6. Never had a problem using it with three generations of iPhones.

I find the watch rose gold far more tacky, it's too bright for the watch face and bands. While the phone rose gold is too pink, the brushed aluminum is far less "look at me" than the shiny gold watches. I ordered the Rose Gold, and while I would have liked a more copper color I'm still happy. Glad to know that makes me low culture. Can't imagine what you think of my SS watch with the blue sport band! Good news is you can always return the phone, or cover it.
