How exactly are you sure that the rose gold iPhone is the same exact color as the rose gold apple watch?

That is what the Apple Genius claimed, but yes you are right, I do not know for certain.

Regardless, the whole point of my post was to show that the color looks slightly different based on the lighting and angle you are viewing it from. It can look pink or copper. Also, as a guy, I thought it looked very nice and will keep my rose gold phone. (assuming that the finishes are the same on the watch and phone).

Got my dock. It is surely more pink than any other color, though the degree of "pink"ness changes based upon variances in lighting.

I'm not in love with it. Might be able to deal for a year. It could possibly grow on me.

It also matches the case I bought pretty well, though the case has a tinge more purple tone to it. But the very similar case I have in gold for my current phone doesn't match exactly either but is close enough and so thin that from a distance it gives the appearance of the phone being naked, which is the point.

It's sort of funny to me to see so many comments about the "pink" iPhone being emasculating and it taking away a man card. I work in the public school system, in high need high schools. So these boys are probably the most concerned about looking "tough" as any kid you'll find. The trend right now is neon pink backpacks and shoes. So I really predict the entire school getting the rose gold phone.

And yet adult men are worried about their man cards? Just a little strange to me. But then it's good to know that my kids are a little more secure in themselves...

Pink is in right now. I see bodybuilders at the gym with pink shoes and tanks all the time. Good to hear that even the typically insecure high school generation is starting to get over these stupid stigmas.

I'm now going off on a tangent but I loved the boy band NSYNC when I was in middle school (if it wasn't clear, I am a 30 year old male). The amount of hatred I got for that was insane. I eventually ended up just not showing my love for the band (no shirts, binders, etc) just to get people to leave me alone. So, again, it's one thing to be comfortable in who you are, and another to just want to avoid constant berating by your peers. Some of us are in a point in our lives where that won't happen (I am happily at that point now). Some of us are not.

This is great. The ironic part is that your peers that were making fun of you probably listened to Nsync too. In middle school/high school everyone is extremely insecure and trying to build an image....then you get to college and it all goes out the window and literally no one cares anymore. Growing up is a funny process.

One more week... I cannot wait for my pink phone.

Never said I was judging. I don't judge men who choose to wear red pumps either.

You didn't come off as judging, no worries.

All just personal preference. I'll rock a rose gold phone no problem, but I'd feel extremely awkward wearing a pink leather belt for example. We all have different tastes and that's fine. I wouldn't berate anyone for thinking the rose gold phone is too feminine for them.

I see someone else posted a pic but it was looking from the top down so you can't really see the if it's sitting off the stand or flush. If you have time could you post a pick of your own?
I could see that it was slightly reclined, which is good.
Guessing that the white bubble at the base of the lightning connector allows for covered phones.
Yes the white bubble around the connecter allows you to keep the cover on and does sit flush, the picture is slightly off angle.

I'm even more tempted to upgrade to 6s Plus in rose gold. Must fight the temptation though.

hmmm- I am very tempted. my issue with these docks has always been that the phone had to be naked. i am happy to read "Your iPhone sits upright in the dock as it syncs or charges, so it’s ideal for a desk or countertop. Even when your iPhone is in an Apple-designed case, it’s easy to dock. And you can unlock iPhone or use Touch ID without having to remove it from the dock."

All rose and no gold. :(

IMO, both gold and rose gold suffer from the same problem: the white antenna lines make the back look cheap. A darker shade of antenna line would have mitigated the problem (space gray and silver).

Or you might opt to put a case on it, but what's the point when you have made a conscious color choice for the phone in order to show off the bling?

I hope Apple releases a 'crystal blue' iPhone 7 in 2016. That'll not only look good, it'll be the most popular color ever. The perfect balance between subtlety/plain and showoff/tackiness. Many women also adore the color blue, no gender identity hangups. It also matches well with fashion and accessories.
