I'm making it easy. I will sent it back within the 14 days and re-ordered the Graphite SS. If they don't want to refund my money I'll send the new watch back, if not i'm fine and have a new watch.

Btw. when you buy AC+ there is a background check with Logfiles if your watch dropped before then you can't buy Ac+. I was able to buy Ac+ so the drop wasn't too hard.
And I didn't know that if you have little marks and scratches you can't use AC+ lol. Just for the glass or something isn't working anymore.

Right, Apple isn’t taking a Magnifying glass to the watch. What they inspect when you make a return with a product like the Apple Watch, Is an substantial damage with cracks on the display or the Watch doesn’t power on due to significant damage, then there is a problem. But they don’t care about minimalistic damage. Apple sells refurbished Apple watches that show light scratches, they certainly wouldn’t prohibit a customer from making returns due to artificial scratches on the casing or display.

Thank you. My Graphite will arrive tomorrow and then I will send back the other watch.

I drove over to Best Buy this afternoon and saw the Graphite Apple Watch in person. It looks amazing, its darker then the Stainless but more reflective then the Space Black. It looks a lot like the stainless steel edge on the black iPhone X. It will go with pretty much any of the Apple Watch bands. I am really hoping to get one over the holidays.

You are right! I first had an order for the graphite on release day but cancelled because in the first pics it looked like silver and didn't like that. Went then with Al. After a month the decision was between Ti and SS Graphite and went with Graphite. Sometimes it's a darker silver, sometimes its nearly Space Black.

just got the email. I will get my money back. So apple doesn't care about the mark or didn't see it lol.

They don’t care. As mentioned, the display would have to be cracked or the watch wouldn’t power on due to damage, then you wouldn’t have received your refund. Like I said before, Apple sells refurbished Apple watches that have minor imperfections on the casing, they wouldn’t deny you were return simply based on that.

After owning the AW 6 GS/SS for 3 weeks, I noticed that my watch somehow has a tiny dent on it and I didn't even bang it to the wall or drop it. Many users indicated that S/S can hold up beat for years, but mine only last less than 1 month.

I can't believe the S/S isn't that durable; is titanium or ceramic much durable than S/S?

Odd I have banged my graphite stainless steel watch accidentally on the wall, and it has fallen off the bedside table into the wood floor, and I have once accidentally scraped it on the metal door of the elevator and still have zero damage.

Maybe yours had a manufacturing defect which made it susceptible to scratching. I would ask them to replace it.

BTW one thing I don’t have is a DLC metal bracelet. That can scratch the watch.

Same as what I heard and that's the reason.

I think don't mine is the DLC metal bracelet; it just costs me around $20

Love it.

My aluminum S2 ended up dinged within a couple months and I had to stare at it for months
My aluminum S3 cellular ended up dinged within a couple months and I had to stare at it for months
My SBSS S4 remained mint for the whole year
My SBSS S5 is also still mint after nearly a year.

Since I really do like cellular, the price difference from aluminum to SBSS hasn't been too painful when considered against the subjective value to me of not needing to be as careful and not having to stare at a ding for the rest of the time I had the watch.

YMMV.
I keep telling people this is why you invest in a stainless steel model as it really does hold up amazing. my aluminium watch also dinged and the screen scratched very easily.

I guess I should bring the above up to date... :D

My SBTi S6 is also still mint after nearly a year.

... and the SBTi finish is a much better match to the SB Link Bracelet than the SBSS had been.

As for the SS to Ti price differential - the Ti models came with a 2nd included sport band and also came with a two year warranty. So there was added value above/beyond the case material.

Would you expand on Ti models as you describe the package?

I was seeking clarity on this part of your post: "As for the SS to Ti price differential - the Ti models came with a 2nd included sport band and also came with a two year warranty. So there was added value above/beyond the case material."

Curious, if you get AppleCare+ on the Ti model, do you still get an extra year (so 3 years coverage instead of 2)?

Click "Learn More" on the product page in the Apple Care section.

From the 1st series onward, I have always gone with 'graphite steal' but now looking closely at the TiSB?

Anyone make this transition in the last series who regrets the transition?

I own an SBSS and an SBTi, both are great looking but if I had to choose one, I‘d go for the Titanium case. It has a certain tool-like indestructible look to it, that no other model has.
At first I figured it‘d be much like the Alu model, but it’s definitely much more refined in terms of case finishing.

Btw, it‘s „graphite“ since the S6, before it was „space black“
