I’d go for the Graphite. The Titanium looks boring.

Dennis, it’s anything but boring (And I don’t say this as a Ti owner). You should visit the titanium thread, The black titanium actually can change shades of black depending on the lighting if you’re outside with natural sunlight or more ambient lighting if you’re indoors, it’s really unique. I’m telling you this, probably because you don’t have much experience with the black titanium given what you’re seeing based off one or two photos in this thread.

Here are some comparison pictures.
From just those pics with the Milanese loop definitely the graphite. The whole thing just looks so good.

the space black Titanium in real life looks completely boring.

unless weight is a real issue I’d stick with the SS

It’s boring imo. I speak as i had the S5 black titanium and went through a few weeks with it before i swapped it for the basic titanium which I simply loved.
As for changing colours with different lightening, I think from the videos and pictures I’ve seen the graphite does that more than any watch.

I mean we have videos of it where it looks gold, and then some where it looks like regular SS and some where it is as dark as the older space black.

it’s simply a beautiful watch

when I returned the S4 SB titanium last year the apple store staff said she was seeing a lot of swapping for the basic Ti

It has do to only with taste ....

“S4 SB titanium last year the apple store staff said she was seeing a lot of swapping for the basic Ti“

Apple Staff is talking „with“ you to make a good sense for your choice....

She didn’t have to do any talking with me. mate. I wasnt there asking her opinion I had already made up my mind. She was just commenting she had seem a lot of swaps come from the black

Go with titanium it looks more premium. I feel like graphite will scratch badly overtime. also it’s stainless
steel

Also recommending get natural
titanium instead of black.

This is so backwards it's making my head spin. You keep saying the graphite will scratch badly...it has a DLC coating! Diamond Like Carbon is an extremely hard and durable coating, just look at the space black SS models from prior years and see how pristine they look now. It's the same coating, just a different colour.

In 6 months from now the natural Ti watches are going to look like garbage in comparison to the graphite SS. You should do some research before you go around telling people your opinions.

Yeah, the DLC is always going to be the most scratch proof. That being said, I disagree about the bare titanium looking bad over time, and I’m returning my Graphite Watch. Gradual wear in a bare metal watch looks cool, whereas this shiny Graphite finish looks too much like a fashion watch finish, to me.

S4 titanium doesn't exist. Titanium was introduced with apple watch 5.

Agree with the comments about the DLC coating. I have worn my SBSS pretty much every day for 4 years now and it still looks pristine.

While there are some things in life which I enjoy seeing in matte finish, Apple Watches aren't one of them. I think they look lesser with just about every band extent, and, as has been pointed out it looks way too close to the aluminum finish. Add in the fact that Ti scratches and it's a hard pass for me.

Hello. One year with my SBTi S5, I am a fairly active person, i have use this watch for almost every activity there is, As of today, not even a hairline scratch on mine.

I’m honestly still partial to the Space Black after owning both. I think the black looks better and works with more bands than the graphite does. This is a really tough one though.

Good for you! Don't forget to check out the photo of the banged up Ti a few comments prior, not to mention the photos all over the forums of similar results.

I keep saying this to people, it's clearly different.
I honestly can't see it. They look identical to me, no matter how many times I look at the photos side by side. I know from reviews that they are, in fact, different, but I absolutely cannot see it in the product pictures on apple.com.

SBTi has a DLC finish, which contributes significantly to it's scratch resistance.

The complaints appear to be more common with "plain" Ti which, like "plain" SS, does not have any protective coating.

I don't see any difference between Space Black (S6) and Graphite (S6) and not much difference between S5 and S6 colors either, just save the money and go for the graphite :)
Layer these photos on any editing software, or even your browser, and jump between each of them. The color is the exact same. But I think in person it's different - people have already posted comparison pics.

Yeah I think most agree Apple did a terrible job showing it off on their website. It looks much different in person.
