This is the my daily use bag, Timbuk2 Commute 2.0. LOVE this bag. It's big and holds everything I need yet it's light and slim to carry. I have the large size in the Brown/Black/Brown color scheme.

After lots of experimenting I prefer a backpack.

Still looking for a small/medium size leather backpack for my MacBook Air, some files and electronic gadgets like camera etc.

Problem with most backpacks is they're huge.

Interesting looking bag .... anyone have one of these? Wondering how functional it is, shoulder straps aren't padded so it's not for lugging all day.

Thoughts?

(edit: that photo is from their website ... for a $400 bag they could do a lot better in the photo department...).

The problem with all these bags is that they're bad for the environment. They're all made of plastic. Nylon, Polyester, etc. I don't like plastic.

I want a bag made exclusively from animals. Leather with a soft fur liner, and cotton / sinue stitching. Horse leather is preferred since it's extremely thick and durable. Rabbit fur is preferred since it's very soft and fluffy and much cheaper than Mink.

It's clean, renewable, biodegradable. Perfect.

Now I just need to find who makes such a thing. Anyone?

I love the Targus bag that came with my MBP. College gave me
both, and the bag is the perfect compliment with oodles of space for
textbooks and disks. Granted it isn't as nice as some of the other
poster's bags, but for a 50$ bag it is pretty rad.

How about something like this:

Been with me through five continents worth of adventures. Perfect fit for a 15" MBP in a hard case plus looks even better without bloodstains. :)

Not only do I want this bag, I want this bag used, and worn in like yours. If you're ever willing to sell it, send me an IM! Blood stains and all! haha!

I'm also looking into new options for a bag for my 15" MBP, and just found this fairly new bag from Incase:

Right now, I swap between the Crumpler Luncheon and the Tenba Messenger someone else posted earlier, when I need to carry along a D90.

I have the Patagonia "Single Shot" and it's a spitting image of that bag. Even down to the seat-belt type strap.

Fits a MBP 13" and One other large book/folder quite nicely.

I'm still looking for a 'manly' medium size leather backpack suitable for carrying a 13" notebook, pad of paper, few gadgets and day book ....

All leather backpacks I see are either huge and/or poorly designed.

If you're using a leather backpack post some info!

This is really nice, don't know if it's been posted yet..

called the Muzetto

comes in different colours and sizes..

Nice!

Really like this one.

Looks nice, but also quite heavy

Well I have searched through this whole thread and didn't find anything that fit my tastes. I am also looking for a backpack that will fit my 13" MBP and some books.

You pretty much just described every laptop backpack ever made. I took this thread as more for messenger bags.
