So i placed my order and everything went through fine, and 10 minutes later now it shows out of stock, I must of got the last one. This will be a nice update to my old early Pre- Unibody early 2008 Macbook pro. Love the anti- glare option, So excited!
The glossy model is back in stock for $1269 http://store.apple.com/us/product/FC371LL/A?mco=MjEwNTY4ODY

That's the one I have been waiting for myself. Ahh well, keep waiting I guess

It's great to hear that you're enjoying your Mac

Called Apple this evening; the delay isn't because my Mac comes with a hi-res screen (it doesn't) but because it's the weekend.

Again March 2 till the 6th is the estimated delivery date. I'll post back when it arrives.

Mine, too, seemed to have been delayed by the weekend. Darn weekends. I ordered on Friday, and got the shipment notification on Saturday with a scheduled delivery date on March 3. Still showing the initiated phase on Fed Ex's website. Hopefully this thing will hurry it's way to Texas.

I'm trying to learn patience. But it's so very hard.

Well... I think I've decided to go with the base 13" refurb.
I've gone back and forth and I'm thinking it's just the best deal for me. I'm so excited now!

I know you can get the extended apple care after as long as you buy it in the first year... does it work like that with the refurbs too?

Absolutely. Nothing changes with the warranty of the refurbs.

I'm not in any great hurry. Still waiting on my income taxes to get back to me. How long before we see refurbs on the just released macbooks? Couple months / Aprilish?

Ahhh, missed out again. It was available, I had it in my cart, but by the time I got CC info it was no longer available.

It Arrived! Almost...

I'm typing from the MacBook Pro that was ordered on Feb 28th. It's a bit complicated (see this thread).

If anyone is thinking going the refurb route; don't look back. It's perfect in everyway (look, quality, ect). 2011 is the year of the Refurbished Apple Products

Anyways, the next one is coming tomorrow so I don't mind :D

I received my 2.8 C2D antiglare on Monday, after a few hours I noticed the display did not seat properly, in addition the entire unit appeared a bit warped. So I called Applecare, and they overnight-ed me a new one. This new refurb unit seems perfect. However, I was a little surprised that the battery came with 14 load cycles. I realize 14 cycles is nothing, but I thought they put new batteries in them??? Regardless, everything seems great, this refurb is cosmetically perfect, and everything is functioning well so far.

Just got my refurb today and so far (Knock on wood) everything is perfect. Weird about the battery, though. Mine is showing the MBP is 5 weeks old, but with no load cycles (according to coconut battery).

I too would love to get a refurb'd 2010 with high-rez matte finish per that link. So if it's currently listed as out of stock, is there any realistic hope that that will change, or should I give up and start perusing Craigslist?

I think mine showed 4 battery cycles. Didn't pay attention to the age though. Considering this thing will have a few hundred cycles in a years time, a few cycles isn't going to make much difference. I haven't found a single flaw in my refurb. I consider myself to be pretty darn lucky, I really didn't want to return this thing.

They have been showing up periodically. If you catch it when they are in stock don't wait cuz it won't last long.

I don't know how fast they are, but i have an alert set with
http://www.refurb-store.com/
and it says the 15 hi-res is in stock

http://store.apple.com/us/product/FC847LL/A

if you add to cart and then put a quantity of 999 in the cart quantity, and then click somewhere else on the screen, it will come up with a message that says :

Some products in your cart were not available in the quantities that you specified. The quantities were updated to reflect current supplies. Items that are not currently available were removed.
Please Note: The Apple Store sells and ships Refurbished products to end user customers only. For orders that exceed nine units, please contact our business specialists at 1-800-854-3680.

and then it will reset the 999 to the quantity they have, which in this case is 234 right now.

That is the i7 model. I think most everyone was looking for the i5 cheaper one. They have always had the i7 hi res in stock.

I too received my MBP and it seems quite nice. Luckily everything is sound, however, there was some minor cosmetic issues on the palm rest and three "water droplet" marks by the right speaker. I will post a link to photos so people can see. Has anyone else received a refurb that has had a cheap cleaning (or none at all)? Is this worth barking at Apple about?

Probably nothing to be concerned about, but I would certainly let apple know that there are drops on your computer that appear to come from some sort of moisture. All you need is a moisture hitting one of the water sensors and your warranty is void. I have no idea if they would want to exchange it, I would assume at the very least they would want it looked at a store.

just bought a White MB for the Wife for $849, all she needs it for is email, syncing her iPhone, music, games and Farmville/FB.

I was going to get the Unibody MBP for another $170 but this is perfect for her, and she is selling her iPad so it will cost us very little.

THey have some really cool deals on the Refub stuff.

Good deal, thanks for the insightful response. I had not thought of that. I will contact them for informative purposes if nothing else. I will let you know what comes of it. Thanks!:apple:

I would also give them a call, is it possible the package got wet in transport?

Congratulations! I'm curious, could you check what the date of manufacture was?
