Yeah, but why pay a premium Apple tax if it does the same... they would destroy there own brand and loyal fanbase
So u have an iphone because maps doesnt have ads?

As long as main results are not suppressed and the ads are clearly marked and few in number, I’m fine with this. I trust Apple to not sell identifiable user data so no issues. We can’t escape ads anyway. Hoping Apple would pave the way for better ad handling.
With all the bad Apple news lately, he might rotate too fast and end up creating a black hole, sucking us all into.If Jobs rotated in his grave as often as everyone says he would, he’d the be greatest source of clean energy mankind has ever seen.
I’m not a fan but I see this as a side-effect for governments wanting to regulate the platform.
I think its greatly improved and not had any issues since the first versionsApple Maps is absolutely awful, after a decade it hasn’t come close to catching up with Google.
Aren't ads going to be used to track users which goes directly against the privacy first philosophy of Apple?
They already track you, what do you think why their traffic on users device bypasses VPN connections and installed Firewalls…Aren't ads going to be used to track users which goes directly against the privacy first philosophy of Apple?
What greed? Oh you mean for them to charge a market price for their n products and services and the public to buy those products and services? (Which they do in droves)It's a side effect of Apples greed.
I just compared Google Maps with Apple Maps and Google maps seems to be behind Apple in my area.Apple Maps is absolutely awful, after a decade it hasn’t come close to catching up with Google.

All of the outrage is performative. I don’t think people will leave. Also, I got the impression from the article that this isn’t going to be obnoxious banners hiding content. The reaction seems overboard and silly, to me.You’ll stop using Apple Maps with ads to use Google Maps, which has had ads since at least 2013? Waze (also Google) has even more ads.
I know, I've been dying to make the switch from Google maps, but Apple maps just suck!Apple Maps is absolutely awful, after a decade it hasn’t come close to catching up with Google.

While you are at it let them know that the size shown for the Senkaku/Diaoyu Islands is incorrect. If it is wrong you can report the problem. Apple is pretty good at fixing maps in my experience.
These are my thoughts exactly. I use Waze and there are these types of ads. I don't feel bombarded or taken advantage of. I just ignore them like I do with most things
They are going to be premium ads. Apple is going to assign their very best graphic artists to let you know that Lou’s Used Cars on Main Street has some crazy deals.Disappointed actually very disappointed! I pay 'Apple prices' to get a premium user experience not one where ads are being shoved in my face!
