This is kind of repetitive news. We've already had rumors about these products next year. This would be a more interesting piece of news if they had more details beyond what we've already heard.

Yes the rumours are repetitive. But MacRumours is a business. How do you think they pay the bills? Most likely like everyone else, advertising. And that means page views.

The cost to join MacRumors is essentially our participation. Putting up with these stories IMO, is not the worse thing in the world. Click, read, roll eyes and move on. 😏

Next year is going to be an expensive one for me…have to prepare:

- iPad Pro 11” redesign (hopefully also gets mini-led or OLED)
- Larger iMac redesign or smaller Mac Pro/apple display, have to see how this plays out
- Apple Watch Series 8, hopefully a full redesign
- iPhone 14 (if they go back to the iPhone 4 style, instant buy)
But we just got a full redesign of the Apple Watch!

They weren't wrong, Apple just scrapped the design last minute due to manufacturing issues.
So besides the notches for the bands to fit into, and the Digital Crown, what is the same about the series 7? You are suggesting they scrapped one design and went with another design. I am sorry, another new design. That is possible, but it doesn't seem very efficient.

Oh, I fully appreciate that they need to post stories for views/clicks. I have no problem with that at all. In fact, I expect and encourage it.

I just prefer stories that are in some way unique. I guess this news is unique in that it's something Mark Gurman mentioned in his latest newsletter, so it maybe further solidifies some of those preexisting rumors (then again, many of us are skeptical of these types of rumors far in advance of their supposed release).

The best things about these articles are usually all the comments, so I should thank them for just about anything posted.

I love my airpod pro's. Don't use them nearly as much as I should, but if apple made black air pods or maybe product red I'd def buy another set!!!!

Where did you hear/read that? I would think that the prototypes would show them what problems there would be in manufacturing them way before they would have to make a "last minute" decision.

I wonder how much of a redesign the iPad Pro can receive. Feels like at a certain point any of these products (iPhone, iPad, MacBook) you can really only iterative and make minor changes.

Amazing how nice the iPad Pro still feels, especially for a design that's 3 years old. Really curious where they go with it.
It’s depends who defines the word “redesign”. For example to these analysts a redesign could be that the volume button gets moved to the top like the mini 6, FaceID relocated, maybe thicker to make it more durable to bends, maybe a different material like Ti to get a leg up over the iPhone 14 Pro, maybe smaller bezels similar to AW7, etc, etc.

iPad Pro 11” is too close in design with the iPad Air 4 and it’s only a matter of time before some of the Pro features migrates down the line. Making the Pro thinner does not make sense as far as durability goes unless better materials are used. MagSafe charging would have made more sense on the mini 6 but I suspect it’s only time. IPX rating on the iPad line would be a wonderful addition but does not warrant exterior redesign.

Curious to see what happens even though I am not in the market for an iPad Pro but I am for AirPods Pro 2.

As a child, I learned not to say anything if I have nothing to say. Obviously Gurman went to a different school.
I remember that but it was more along the line of “ if you have nothing good to say, then say nothing at all”.

After all rumours for this year which didn't materialise, I am learning not to trust any anymore.
That’s seems like a personal problem to just “trust” any rumours. It’s just fun and games and no one is getting hurt, well except your feelings of trust. 😜

Yeah it doesn’t work that way.
Companies have backup plans for products, it’s not all eggs in one basket and then sit back and hope for the best.

Why do you suspect AW7 was not ready to order like mini 6 or iPhone 13 within announcement week? It’s been pushed to an undefined date for a reason and no one chip production line is not churning out silicon for all iOS devices there are many lines.

really, updates to existing products? Newsflash ... these guys are getting boring ...
Updates usually occur annually unless it’s some segmented product or some other reasons.

iPad Pro update was expected as the 11” did not receive miniLED in 2021.

Is it really feasible to think that Apple “last minute” scrapped a watch design that they had been working on for over a year, came up with the new watch screen that is not only brighter, but larger, designed new watch faces for it, and was able to get the manufacturing process for it started so that it will be ready for the fall?

This “last minute” stuff is to me leakers trying to cover themselves for a watch design that was either thrown out by Apple as a decoy or one that was meant for next year. I could be wrong, but I don’t think Apple does anything “last minute.” Everything they do is with purpose.

wow, do those guys have you wrapped around their pinkies ...
Nah it’s logic, you place too much importance on rumours. It’s fun and games, believe what you want? For personal use, you decide what fits your needs presently or if you can wait. If it was a business it would not matter as it’s purchase whatever fits the bill presently.

Lol. Sorry Mark, we’re still pissed about the wrong Apple Watch leak. We’re starting to look at you different now.
Get out more and enjoy life, if rumours is dictating your purchase decisions and having an effect on your mental health I would recommend to seek help and reassess you life and purpose.
