Don’t you at least find it interesting to discuss though? Seemingly you do, because *you* commented on the topic. I don’t necessarily care what the title the iPhone is, but I think it does make for interesting detective work to see what’s true and what’s not this time of year, alongside other cryptic rumors.

Jobs was great, but Cook is doing fantastically well for Apple.

Besides, these names are RUMORED and Cook likely doesn’t personally name the phones. He more likely relies on his team to market the product and trusts their recommendation.

These things happened because of Steve laying the foundation for growth. His innovations made Apple what they are today. Timmy’s idea of innovation LSU are a $10K gold watch, a HomePod which seems like just an afterthought, and an iPhone design that hasn’t changed in years. Trusting recommendations are good, so as long as such suggestions aren’t so bad.

Yeah Timmy this, Timmy that.
He is pushing Apple through harder times compared to Steve who came back when new technology just kicked in and Apple was first at everything.
Timmy increased Apple’s value to heights Steve probably never dreamed of and he did this in times where all competitors are able to deliver great phones (of course with crappy Android).

As for anyone I wishSteve could have lived a much, much longer life but I never miss him as Apple’s CEO.
In fact there are many things I like much better about Apple like not opposing against any standard just because it wasn’t introduced by Apple first.

No they didn’t. Cook is a genius and was picked by Steve because Steve knew it too.

I’m trying to get people to recognize greatness when it’s right in front of them.

I agree that they should drop the numbers, however, I think confusion would ensue. A customer coming in to the store looking for the latest iPhone model would ask for what? Statements would be, "Give me the newest iPhone Plus!" or "I would like to get the 2016 iPhone model."

Does that work?

All the Apps that I have work wonderful on this 4 inch display, yes it is not as convenient to use safari on it, compared to a bigger phone, but THAT'S IT! Despite the worse "web browsing experience", the small form factor is SO MUCH BETTER in many other ways.


Apple, why don't You give Your customers a real choice? Where is that 4-inch-iPhone X?

Apparently people spend 2x more on apps with larger phones, which may explain the lack of an update.

Hours of podcast time and countless pages wasted on what the name of a new phone might be. It's bad enough that the names are indeed going to suck because Apple's named itself into a corner with "X," but to waste time squabbling about it days before the event is pointless.
 
they should make the next iphone name hidden, and it would be an easter egg within iOS 13, that would need to be unlocked in order to determine the name of the next iphone.

Whatever "rumors" Gurman puts out about Apple, are fed directly to him by Apple with their blessing. This is just an Apple marketing ploy designed to whip up the hype.
