In the second video why did the guy keep pushing the microphone button?!?! It annoyed the crap out of me.

Because he was an idiot who wouldn't listen. You can hear the guy in the back ground telling him at least twice that he didn't need to push it again when he's done speaking.

Anyone notice that Siri switches it's accent between British and American English based on the accent of the person posing the question? That's slick.

For a lot of people with disabilities...this will be more huge for them...Is already good as if rigth now...

... and you'll be pushing the microphone button with your ... toes? That's kind of cumbersome. R>

You're not required to actually push the button every time, it's only optional. Siri will listen for pauses on it's own.

Maybe its just me but i like to discover the perks and quirks of a new gadget myself than have someone else unveil it me. *shrug*

considering u have to push that damn mic button all the time u might as well just open safari urself ^^

Actually, Apple can't advertise Siri in Canada, because it doesn't yet support the French Canadian language, but you can still use the American or British English on it in Canada, or at least so I have read.

I think you mean American English or English. We speak English English in England you know

Not sure if it is able to say the owner's name or not. Maybe easier common names like John, James, Mary etc. guy did not have a common english name though.

Germans typically don't have common English names. ;) Kind of surprised it didn't say his name since German is one of the supported languages, but he was using the English Siri voice so maybe that's why it didn't say his name.

Based on how October was spellt I don't think his iPhone is set as German in the video.

Yeah, this is the first time I've heard of a metronome app. And that seems like a pretty obscure type of app to be factory installed.

I don't know what that guy is on, but the metronome app he used is, and has been on the app store for ages. Look up steinway metronome!

Siri, just for the iPhone 4S?

The more I see (and hear) of Siri, the more I wonder how it would be having her/him in tablet and desktop form.

I'm calling that kids brother! Haha j/k...but why would he not block out the number? lol

this maybe a weird question, but is there a way to choose between 720p and 1080p in the new iPhone 4s?

in those videos i saw it defaulted to 1080p, and i really don't need that, just makes it shake a lot more also

Once you in 'conversation' with Siri, do you have to press the button every time?

I was under the impression that Siri will listen once you have it open?

Why does that moron keep hitting the button when he's done speaking aswell??

I wonder how far the calculations can go...

For example, "What is the square root of 4, multiplied by 3?" or "How many quarters are in $20?"

Would have loved it for my math homework many years ago...

Siri uses Wolram. I just tried this

"five times integral of sin x, 0 to pi)"

And it answered "10".

Looks like Siri can do at least trig and introductory Calculus.

Then I gave it another harder problem and it did OK.
Derivative sin^3(x^2+x+1)
