All those mockups are fakes, a friend already saw the final product and said is very different, only true is screen size and the new dock, these mockups seems from the next iPod Touch prototypes not the next iPhone.

We will see.....but no matter what this phone will sale like crazy.

WM7.5 performs fine, 8 will only improve that .

It still makes no sense to bebop back and forth between OSs. There's either an ecosystem you prefer or there isn't. If you like one, no matter which, stick with it. Don't change because the phone looks 'cool'. Truth is, no one gives a ***** what your phone looks like except you, the user.

That is except for those people holding those phones that are sized like mini tablets up to their ears. They look so funny and pathetic.

this design may not have problem catching old die hard iPhone owner, but new smartphone owners don't like the iPhone 4/4S design, they 'll never like this s h i t

If this crap-design fails, Apple will need at least 12 months to launch a new one, having Jonathan Ivi driving the design, I doubt it will happen, they must surprise us with something spectacular now, not having to change it again for the 7th gen.

Who says it is a crap design, you? Seriously, since when has an iPhone ever been a failure? Exactly.

There is no way this is the new iPhone 5. Most of apple products are gorgeous designs, this is nothing close. I really doubt it. Apple just messing with all you folks. I can bet my iPhone 4, when its announced that we will all be surprised, this is what apple is good at.
Also design spec ratio doesn't adds up at all , Steve jobs would have just binned it or probably sack the person for coming up with that idea.

Prior my 4S I owned an Galaxy SII, I switched due siri, not coz I like the cristal sandwich design.

Good physical design? see at Google Galaxy Nexus, Or latest nokias as the previously shown.

Also other OS offer something very attractive: Freedom.

Ref: "I believe if this is the next gen iPhone the reason it is taller (one row of app icons) is that it will now MATCH what the iPad has 20 Icons per page vs. the 16 icons (not counting docked icons) and therefore will bring unity to future iOs devices.

Example: When you rotate an iPad the icons on the home screen rotate, when you rotate the iPhone the home screen icons do not rotate. Now with the extra row, uniformity will be present (i.e. rotate the iPad and get 4 rows x 5 rows in portrait mode and 5 rows x 4 rows in landscape mode) the iPhone will do the same (my prediction)."

Nice idea, but won't happen because many of Apple's built in Apps such as Weather only work in Portrait mode.

I am referring to the Home Screen only, not while any apps running.

Right now the iPhone will not rotate on a home screen, but the iPad will. When you add one row of icons at the top (hence the longer phone) then you can rotate the icons and match the exact home screen layout of an iPad.

How do you know what you "like" if you dont try it out? Windows Mobile works fine, same as android same as iOS all share same basic function and have roughly same possibilitys. Personal taste/brand preferences or needs decide and yes one of them is how your phone looks.

You mean samsung note ? A samsung S3 is barely any bigger then an iphone let alone the new one.

And I for one wont buy another iphone if it hasnt got a least a 4" screen. Not everyone has the fingers/hands of a 12 year old or wear skinny jeans .

Btw its funny how you say nobody cares how your phone looks but then you do care how they look. :D

To each their own. I won't be contributing to those sales records though.

I've played with a Cyan Lumia and was happy with it overall.

Smart thinking, assuming you know how a user is selecting their next device. I've used Windows Phone and wouldn't be considering a Lumia 920 if i wasn't happy with performance of the OS. The device also has decent specs.

1.5GHz DC CPU
1GB RAM
32GB storage
8MP Cam
4.5" HD display

They may look like they came from Toys R Us but to me they're far more interesting than a glorified iPhone 4S with two-tone colour.

You've ignored or missed my point. You shouldn't buy a phone based on how it looks. Which is how their post came across. Buy it because it will do what you want.

The specs 'are' nice but nothing I personally need. I'm still using my 3GS without a hitch. Screen is more than fine for mail, web, books, etc. The iOS ecosystem and dependability between phone, pad and computer is still superior to anything anyone can yet show me.
Despite wishing for a new phone, it's just not needed. I'd like one, but won't be buying new iPhone in the near future.

On the other hand, I do wonder why Apple does lag behind othe producers. With all their expertise, you'd think they could make the ultimate phone while still providing size, battery life, ecosystem, quality, screen size, camera, etc. that would at least please, or shut up the whiners.

I think a couple of pictures will say a thousand words.

The 'average' phone doesn't look like you're holding a small notebook up to your ear. In those instances you can't help but notice.:D

Agree on the size thing. Eventually I'll get a new iPhone, but don't look forward to the small buttons. Thank God don't use them much. Or the 'thin factor', will be in a case or something.

iPhone 1 Queue

It always amazes me that people can waste so much time just to get a phone a couple of days earlier then others .As if your life isnt complete without the latest iphone .

It's laughable that people are still insistent this is some kind of Apple mega conspiracy/'controlled leak'.

Such a scenario wasn't believable to begin with, and is far less so with the ensuing flood of consistent supporting evidence.

Where has this been said, other than 1 post a couple of pages back? Even then he said it is totally unlikely. You are posting as if there are pages of it!

That's what I'm not getting. If the anntenna is built into the outer band wrapping around the sides, why would it matter what the back is made of?

Because the phone needs more than the two external antennas. LTE needs four, not sure about which of those can be shared with other cell radios. There's also WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

I'm going to laugh if whatever they announce on the 12th is COMPLETELY different and Tim Cook is like "Gotcha!'

Either way I'll be buying iPhones until the day they stop making them.

One thing I noticed was missing was the noise cancelling mic hole (on the 4s it's the tiny hole next to the headphone) They can't move it to the bottom for obvious reasons, so where is it? I doubt they would lose such an important feature. One time I walked through a construction zone and the person on the other end heard NONE of it.

11" notebook is 4-5times the size of even an note.

And in this case the form follows the function. This is a big screen phone. A 5.3" screen doesnt fit in the iphone chasis, to me people have a problem when they would prefer the 5.3" screen but still buy a 3.5" smartphone because they dont want others to think they are "silly" .

Looks like it's between the camera and flash.

Limited Choice

I love iOS. I'm heavily invested in it with an iPad and a couple Macs. What is frustrating to me is lack of choice. You get your choice of colors but same design. Since 2010 we've had essentially the same design, although now we get a slightly larger screen.

I don't think two or three diffent iPhones would kill Apple. Give those who want a 4.5" screen a phone, and keep one for those who want a 3.5". Some differing designs couldn't hurt either. People like variety, and choice. I'm not a fan of Android, but I'll concede they at least give you choice of a features you personally like.

Some things work well as "One Size Fits All". The iPhone isn't one of them.

That's the fakest looking fake I've seen so far.
Wrong font and camera lense is off center. This will definitely NOT be the next iPhone.

It comes up every time a post about the new phone is made, granted it is happening less frequently as people come to terms with reality.
