lol!!I upgraded 256 go X to 512 gb XSMAX so I can truly experience the “ultimate” ‘max’ size and storage. The 512 GB XsMax is the ultimate “max” best iPhone (“mini” iPad) in the iPhone history. Kudos to Apple to produce the truly “max” iPhone.

Mine didn’t come with one. I think in the video Dan said his did. He’s in the US (I think). Or is just a crazy Cleveland fan. They would never come with US phones. I have no idea why.
here in toronto when i went to the mall with my buddies.. we went to fido store & ask if iphone xs max 64gb is available & the employee said “yes we have alot” we were actually surprised that it didn’t get sold-out.. then we ask if they also have an iphone xs 64gb gold & said the same thing.. it didnt get sold out is it because its too expensive or what?
Way overpriced for an "S" upgrade... no, but no thanks.
I find it hilarious that even this latest gen, Watch included, still ship with USB and not TypeC. You open it up and you can’t connect it to your MacBook. Awesome. I chuckled when the Apple tech asked me to connect it to iTunes. “Um. I can’t.”
Wonder if Face ID 2 is as fast as Touch ID 2 was on the 6s.
iPhone XS just passed 5 C-Net drop tests without cracking!! Amazing. Finally these screen repair places can go pound salt!
The XS's Face ID is nothing like Touch ID 2, which was a revelation in terms of speed/accuracy. It's more like Face ID 1.2.
And why are people pretending the Max doesn’t feel bigger than the Xs. Are their eyes playing a trick on them too? The problem with all new phones these days is that they’re too tall. Height shouldn’t be more than twice the width. 18:9 (2:1) is a good aspect ratio for a phone, but 19.5:9 is ridiculous.Yes that is why people are commenting on it. Precisely because it doesn't feel as heavy even though they know it isn't lighter. Hence the surprise.
Way, way too big. I used to use the Plus size phones, picked up the X last year, and ordered the XS Max. Got it last night, promptly realized how absurdly oversized it is, and went in today to return and swap for the XS. I have big hands and even then it's not comfortable to use one handed without fear of dropping it, even with a dextrous pinky-rest maneuver.
Ever single Plus phone was way, way, way too big.The XS Max chassis is not physically bigger than the Plus phones.

My Max doesn't seem to like my router on its 5 GHz band. When I first connected to set up the phone, it said "no internet connection" and eventually worked itself out. I saw the same issue later today. Every other device was fine on the network. Anyone else experienced this so far?
My opinion on the X Max is the same as the iPad Pro: a total beast hardware wise, but limited by a software (iOS) that has remained stagnant over the years. So much screen real state and so much CPU power hardly utilized by the operating system
The iPhone itself is awesome, but iOS needs to evolve.
The OLED of my Apple Watch started to fade right after 2 year, looks like this after 3 years of daily regular use. It became unreadable in brighter environments. Apple Store tells me this is expected with OLED.
I‘m looking forward to reports in 2 years time on the iPhone XS.
Yet they were "brave" when they got rid of the headphone jack. Which 98% of the world still uses. They knew this and is why they packaged an adaptor. Sorry brah, ya'walked in to that.Because somehow prior “S” models were priced lower than the phones they replaced in some other universe you visited?

Perhaps Apple realized that the majority of the world still has USB-A and most existing Mac users do as well? And perhaps it makes absolutely zero business sense for them to package in a A-to-C adapter to accommodate about 1.5% of the buyers.
Does the XS Max have support for the home screen in landscape orientation like the Plus models do?
I'd use the low power charger for overnight charging. Low power charging potentially results in less heat and less stress for the battery.Throw away the included charger and get one of the better Qi Wireless chargers out there. Fast and easy... you'll probably never go back to plug-in Lightning wire charging again.
Afaik both the Max and XR are supposed to behave like a Plus. So maybe (hopefully) a temporary issue...First thing I tried and I was disappointed to say it behaves exactly like the XS, X or any non "Plus" phone. No landscape home page, no sidebar in mail, etc. I am really dissappointed by this. All the extra width in landscape gone to waste. it has really put me off actually. The OS is still not optimised for these new full screen phones with lots of white to the left and right when in landscape.
The Chinese version has two physical SIM slots. I'm currently chasing distributers in China if they can export the device to Europe. If you are within EU feel free to PN me.If there were two physical SIM slots and a USB-C cable included (or at least the option to switch cables), I would have bought it and upgraded my watch 100%.
Only because of the low production volumes. Apple dumped the SE because of poor sales. I don't see this small form factor featuring heavily among flagship Android phones, either.Available on walk in ... what a flop...
IF Apple would have build an SE sized new phone, waiting times would have been months...
