Sorry, but why is no YouTuber speaks about the ****** screen durability anymore? I bet you can still easily dig a hole with your finger nail into the display, right? I mean... IT IS A PLASTIC SCREEN AND NOTHING WILL CHANGE THIS FACT!

I love people acting like they don’t like it because it’s not Apple. The same people didn’t need a Plus size phone years ago but rushed to buy the iPhone 6 Plus 😆😆😆😆
Looks pretty cool as do a lot of samsung phones. Problem is their bloatware and lack of optimized apps. It's not worthwhile to own a samsung bloatware special. Never is. It doesn't matter how good the hardware is. But Apple is sure to do this much better than Samsung could dream of if it ever gets feasible. If Apple had released this, they'd get slammed with negative durability claims. The screen is a joke.

You're not wrong. But I have never once in 5 decades tried to write legibly or accurately drag a pointing device across the back of my knee or the crook of my elbow.

Luckily electronics technology is advancing far more quickly than human evolution.
Well you can only bring so many "magics" to electronics. Touchscreen and pointing devices are two amazing things, but removing creases from a folding pivot is, well I also like a notchless iPhone, but ... physics.

IMO foldable phones are a gimmick, but I do appreciate Samsung pushing Apple to ACTUALLY innovate.
I find this comment very interesting! There is no way I would believe you think Apple has just been siting there waiting what sort of products Samsung may release so they can innovate up on them? Apple may spend decades working on stuff that they eventually decide not to release. And no, Apple does not publish teaser videos of vaporware concepts like you know who does.

I like it … but I need to see this type of screen working through five years of the case being opened and closed, before buying one.

Have you actually used it? Nobody talks about crease once they use it because you won’t really notice it. Stop hating.
You know damn well if Apple released a device that had that crease you would scream bloody murder.

Waiting on Apple to release “iPhold” to release something in 2023. I’ve been asking for a bigger screen over 6.7” , but maybe this could be the concept.

what a joke, if i wanted something bigger id just buy an ipad. Dont see the purpose for these whatsoever. I hope it fails miserably

Had my Fold 3 for 2 days. If you're used to a notch, the crease and under display camera is a non issue, even when using the S-Pen the crease is barely noticeable if none existent. I can see how some may find it too narrow but it is the same width as an iPhone 12 Mini and I love how I can grip it and use it with one hand. To be honest, cameras are good for the average joe. Only thing I wish it had was some dust resistance but other than that I love this phone.

If Samsung wants to make the outter screen wider and add better cameras, I hope they make it a Plus or Ultra model and keep the Fold 3 width how it is as a default model for people like me.
It would probably be a pain to type on the outer display but for browsing and other things I found it ok when I tried it out in a store last week. I mean if people don’t complain about the iPhone 12 mini on a wide scale for being small then I don’t know why this phone should be any different.

I have an iPad mini, iPad Pro and 12 pro max. I leave my iPad Pro at home and take out my 12 pro max and iPad mini. It would be nice to have something that could combine the iPhone and iPad mini into a compact device instead of carrying around two separate devices.

Under-screen camera, foldable… Damn, that‘s innovation. That‘s the kind of innovation Apple lacks since the death of Steve.

Some Apple fanboys having foam in their mouths trying to rip it apart is just silly, childish, but sadly, expected behavior.

I had a Fold 2 for a test drive and now I do own a Surface Duo.

Why? Because I like tech and although I prefer iOS, iPhones became the devices that just work, but are boring.

The Fold 3 seems like a device for having one app at a time, but for multitasking I do prefer the Duo with its two seperate screens.
Using 2 apps on the Fold makes them kinda skinny and the keyboard gets in your way on both sides while typing.

I guess if Apple ever makes one (be it a folding device or a unit with 2 screens) will be the point that apps actually take advantage of these screens.
For now, they are just a niche with compatibility issues.
For every moment you are amazed by these phones, you wiill be hit with 2 moments where they get in your way.

It may needs Samsung to develop the tech and Apple to make it work - we will see.

Not sure I find iPhones boring or without fault, over several years of ownership.
But the Surface Duo is one sexy piece of hardware design and I would add one to my collection too if I had the money. But I need a new iPhone lol.

Let’s face it when a iPhone fold is out with iOS and iPadOS people will love it…me included. As long as it has the best camera specs I will get it.

For me it depends on that crease, if that's how you spell it? If they can get rid of that, increase durability a lot, then Apple would be onto a winner I think. They 'could' maybe stick an M1 or the equivalent in it if the battery was big enough too.

No thanks… I don’t mind the idea of foldable phones, but I would NEVER buy a phone that uses that god-awful android crap!

To add to my report: I do have an iPhone 12 Pro (company issued) that I'm allowed to use with my personal account. So the Duo is just the "second" phone. During vacation I use it as my daily driver but during work it's just the phone that happens to hold my phone number with most of the apps (banking app) still on the iphone.

Yeah I can’t see Apple releasing one with a crease either. Just doesn’t seem something they would do and maybe why it won’t be here for two years

Samsung ALMOST got me to leave the Apple Ecosystem with these new foldable phones. Almost. I did my research and it's just not worth it. The new Samsung watches are cool but limited and Samsungs Ecosystem has much to be desired. So I will wait until Apple decides to Fold a Phone.

I have held the Samsung Fold 3 in my hands and can tell you that that crease is forgotten quickly. Apple foldable, of course, will be perfect.

Because majority of youtubers only use the phone for a few days-weeks as review units. They don't buy and use it daily themselves. On top of my head, only mrmobile actually buying and using these foldables himself, and he does provide long term follow ups, including how his previous Galaxy foldables screen broke. The rest of youtubers, they just received free review units, blurt out the same marketing points disguised as a "review," and move on to the next phone.
