Tiny power button. Awkward to reach the fingerprint sensor on a huge phone like that.

Absolutely premium and gorgeous devices. If there's ever a device that can command a premium price, it's the Note 9. Without question. Wow.
And Samsung still has the best watch and OS for watch. That's how a watch should look. Not some dinky little square kids toy. Battery for days and days.
What a shocking comment given your avatar.

Eliminating the vulnerability which allowed S8 iris scanner to be bypassed(which I'm sure Samsung did as the Iris Scanner in the Note 9 is 4th gen and no Iris Scanner past the S8 was ever hacked) makes Iris Unlocking inherently more secure than Face ID.

How does that make any sense? The S8 had a vulnerability that they fixed so that makes it better than a completely different technology (one that both experts and reviewers claim is more reliable). How, exactly? The fact that they fixed a know vulnerability does not make it more secure than Face ID. It just means that specific vulnerability is fixed.

What you just said is a logical fallacy.

I'm a mostly happy user of Apple Watch Series 3, but I like the look and navigation of the Samsung Galaxy watch better. The touchscreen on my watch is entirely unusable after running a mile or two, maybe due to salinity in my sweat. Anyway, I wish the Apple Watch looked and behaved like this watch. I'd never consider buying one as the Apple ecosystem is too strong for me, but I just wish my Apple Watch had better navigation. I have to think about what the buttons will do sometimes. The UI is a mess.

I feel bad for Samsung in the sense that they are the kid at the dance, with his hand up to get someones attention. They are so excited that they can't sit still so they dump punch on everyone near. They try talking everyone up, trying to be cool, really wanting anyone, anyone to be their friend.

They end up being anyones friend (they love the buy one get one free kind of silliness) and they make fun of the 'cool kids' and yet - they got nothing. Endless me-to derived crap and they are driven completely by marketing. A manufacturer in Korea always looking for products to sell. I think they employe as many Americans as they sell their badly designed phones to. Every event I goto someone works in some sales roll for this fishy company. I think it's kind to say: "Good job! You keep trying there fellow! You got spirit - but your fly is down and you have cake smeared on your upper lip. But good for you, you're still at the dance!"

Excuse all the mixed metaphors!

Flawed implementation is bad and insecure regardless of the technology. Samsung fixed this to make it as secure as the underlying technology allows it to be. Your claim about Face ID technology being more secure needs some references. You have not provided any. As far as I see it, both technologies are secure enough for the type of data they are used to protect.

It means that currently the iris unlock has no known vulnerabilities, it can't be hacked in any reliable way so it makes it inherently more secure than Face ID. Simple.
If the ir photo with the contact lens doesn't work what else can someone try? Creating perfect replica of someones iris is virtually impossible.

Your metaphors are really hard to get, indeed. The only thing I got from your post is that Apple is not "looking for products to sell". I think Apple shareholders should be concerned.

One of the major points for me is the storage/ram you get for the price, the base model gets you 6gb of ram and 128gb of storage. For a thousand dollars that's pretty good compared to my iPhone 10. The 512gb option combined with the 8gb of ram is a nice option to have I must say. Depending how things goes with Apple new iPhone I maybe going back to android, hard choice given I have a Apple Watch, Air pods, and a MacBook Pro 13. That would would pretty much make two devices useless.
The AirPods actually work very well with my Note8.

Not only that he's trying to insinuate that FaceID is way more secure actually. His only proof is his opinion that 3D>2D and thta's about it.

And? This article describes how Samsun offers multi-level authentication: less secure (but fast) for unlocking non-critical features and more secure (iris scanner) for sensitive functions. I have not tried it myself but it sounds like something that might be useful/convenient. If the iris scanner was insecure this would be a reason for concern but this article does not claim it. Instead, in a somewhat confusing manner, the author explains how Samsung's less secure level is not as secure as Face ID. Well, it was not intended to be as secure in a first place.

Have you followed HomePod owner discussions? If you have you'd have noticed that one hot topic is HomePod placement. Apparently, woofer output being at the base of the speaker, some users had to place the speaker on the pedestal to get the sound they they liked. It's possible that Samsung speaker's legs are there for functional reasons ("function over form" - have you heard about such design principle before?). Let's wait till Samsung releases this thing and then compare.

Does the weather app. on the new Galaxy work? The fact that it does not work on the Gear 3 and Samsung has never gotten around to fixing it doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the degree to which they are going to stand behind this one. If an Apple Watch app failed to work Apple would have a fix posted within days. If I'm going to spend north of three hundred bucks for a new smartwatch (and I'm far from convinced that I am), the degree to which I can trust the mfr. to keep it reliably functional is going to be an important consideration.

Guess what? That chin and forehead obstruct more than a notch.

What exactly do they obstruct? Do you think that there is some hidden section of the screen behind them? You are wrong. The only design design features that obstruct something are round screen corners and - especially - notch. Notch obstructs part of the display (movie) in a certain mode which is what annoys so many people.
