Totally agree with this. I'd love a phone with a range of RGB lights which could show different colours, combinations and patterns for notifications. I usually keep my phone on silent but want to know various things and I could see that being useful
Interesting, you’re describing what we expect of the always on display of the iPhone 14 in September…Totally agree with this. I'd love a phone with a range of RGB lights which could show different colours, combinations and patterns for notifications. I usually keep my phone on silent but want to know various things and I could see that being useful
Just another mid-range Android device. The only thing this has over it’s rivals is marketing.
Why’s thatNever use negative words in your name or marketing.
The are some awesome and incredible transparent cases available. Tim would call em unbelievable. Can't put a case on it either.
It’s running Android. So it’s competition is other Android phones. Its’ stated rival is the iPhone, not other Android devices.
Just buy a Huawei phone, or import any Android phones directly from China. Those won’t have Google stuff.I’ll be honest. If Android was not Google, I’d bail in two seconds away from an iPhone.
How would you remember which light is for what notification? Wouldn’t it be easier to just look at the actual screen with AoD? These LED stuff is purely a gimmick.Totally agree with this. I'd love a phone with a range of RGB lights which could show different colours, combinations and patterns for notifications. I usually keep my phone on silent but want to know various things and I could see that being useful
Artificial scarcity to create the illusion of exclusivity. I thought you would need an invite or something, like OnePlus did.Store says out of stock? Did it really sell out that fast? I want one 😂 I'm so sick of Apple 😂 😂 😂
It looks exactly like an iPhone the iPhone5 actually… but with a ‘transparent’ back. All of a sudden “Nothing Phone 1" makes the iPhone look 10 years older.
I'm more annoyed with the hype and YouTubers hyping this phone, as if this was the best since slice bread. And it's funny how most are comparing this with an iphone and then claiming it's a good deal. They forgot that Android in this price range is filled to the brim with competitors.People are quick to judge! I think it’s actually a cool design and wouldn’t mind using it myself. The problem they’ve got is there are technically better handsets out there for less money
It looks okay, until you realize that you can get better phones (minus the LED gimmick) in this price range, or a similar phone for a lot less.Cool-looking (subjective) phone with gorgeous 120Hz OLED screen (objective) with an upper-range ‘good enough for 95% of users’ processor.
All for $499 USD.
Not sure what there is to complain about here. Other than it not being available in North America yet, and some reports of some early quality control issues.
You recommended a $800 phone when you can get Nothing 1 for $479.Artificial scarcity to create the illusion of exclusivity. I thought you would need an invite or something, like OnePlus did.
If you’re sick of Apple and want to get something similar to this phone, get the Samsung Galaxy A52s, which is cheaper, or get the S21 FE for actual flagship experience on a budget. Want a small phone, get the S22. Why would you even consider this Nothing phone?
Galaxy A52s is around $300. It has SD778 as well, 120Hz AMOLED, and better water proofing (IP67). The A52s also is getting monthly security patch, with 4 Android upgrades in tow (3 since it was released last year and already got Android 12 upgrade from 11). For $300, seems like a much better dealYou recommended a $800 phone when you can get Nothing 1 for $479.
I’d suggest you watch some reviews of this phone before you use terms like “flagship experience”.
Every review I’ve seen has shown this device to be lightning fast in day to day operation, unlike Samsung’s entire A series galaxy line, which stutters and freezes... on twitter.
Made a mistake earlier on the conversion. It’s actually $479 US.
