Used it at Walgreens. Very easy. Ans just now I was at a vending machine and wanted a drink and had no cash. Hold up the phone, quick fingerprint, pick my drink of choice and done..I said "no way" out loud. I'm pretty easily impressed I guess

Check your statement....

So, I just went to Walgreen's to try this out. Rang up items, held phone to pin pad, used my fingerprint, transaction was accepted. Then, the pin pad asks for my PIN number. I thought ok, I was using my B of A debit card. Entered the PIN, transaction went as normal. I get home, check my B of A app, and there are TWO transactions pending from Walgreens. Same amount. I call B of A and none of their customer service representatives even know what Apple Pay is. I have to wait until the transactions post before they will initiate a reversal. I called B of A twice, the second time hoping to get someone who knew what was going on. The second representative said that it's showing I entered my PIN twice, about 20 seconds apart. I said no, I only entered my PIN once. I had to explain to both representatives how I paid (each time they said "how many times did you swipe the card?" when I said "I never swiped the card" you could almost hear their heads exploding).

I'm guessing that I should have never entered my PIN number when asked. I should have just hit credit. If you have used Apple Pay anywhere and entered a PIN number, I would suggest checking your bank statement.

Don't be, it takes time for the issuing banks/credit unions to get their systems to work with tokenization
It'll up and running shortly...Navy Fed already said November. USAA should be ready for Apple Pay around the same time

November 7th. I hope NFCU is up and working at the same time. I did get an e-mail from NFCU today about Apple Pay, but no date.

Tried to use it at Walgreens and it was a major fail with Verizon. I think that it's cause I am using the sim card that was in my Iphone 5:(

I don't think it has anything to do with the sim card. I am using the sim from my iPhone 5s in my 6. I'm not expecting any problems with Apple Pay.

I never enter PIN when using debit. Always select credit.

If using a debit you can just select credit on the POS. Did that at Walgreens today. Super fast.

USAA gets apple pay Nov 7.

I understand that many people do not use their PIN numbers for debit transactions. However, many people do. And, I was under the impression that when I used Touch ID to verify the transaction, it wouldn't ask me to enter my PIN number. I was surprised when it did, and didn't think to skip that part. I find it interesting that my first and only Apple Pay transaction now has 2 pending charges to my account.

I'm confused. Added my Chase debit card with no problem. But when I went to use it, I held it by the machine at Meijers and my passbook opened right to the card. However, it would not pay. I didn't get any errors.

For those of you who got a chase card verification code, how did you get it? Did you have to call the bank?

It should ask for a PIN.

It will treat debit cards as credit cards for the transaction. Basically removing having to deal with the actual terminal and just using your phone.

You need the SIM card that comes with the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus for NFC to function properly. The older SIM cards aren't compatible with it.

Not true. It asked for my PIN number at Walgreens after I used the Touch ID to verify the purchase.

Now I have two pending charges for 1 transaction with B of A.

Potential problem just got a double charge from whole foods using :apple:Pay # Bank of America card

Me, too. Double charge at Walgreens.

This is likely "pending" but not an actual charge. Give it a day or two. One of them will go away while another will be an actual charge. If both end up getting charged, your bank will credit you back. A hassle but at least they'll know they have bugs to fix.

Just purchased a Mtn Dew from the machine at my work. I got some strange looks from a guy sitting next to the machine lol. Worked flawlessly. Never had to unlock or anything, just stick it up there, select my card (didn't want to use my default just to try a different card), placed finger on TouchID and boom. Mtn Dew on it's way.

Does it work with touch id off or does it have to be activated I.E. First unlock the phone with touch id open passbook app select card and finger scan again?

Has Anyone Tried Apple Pay Yet?

No true. I'm using a sim that was in about 5 different phones before my 6 plus. I never activated the sim that came with the phone, just took my nanosim out of the nano to micro adapter and stuck it in the iPhone 6. I've used apple pay twice today with absolutely no problems! Nfc is in the phone not the sim.

I used my chase debit card on file with Apple to set up apple pay. I don't remember getting a Chase verification code but I have been using so many codes to get my Macbook pro to connect with my iPhone 6 plus today for SMS forwarding, I simply forgot if I got a code.

Regardless, I went to McDonalds drive through to use Apple Pay and the manager had no idea what I was saying. I instructed her to present to me the credit card reader and I touched my home button to activate my fingerprint and the transaction went though!

Cool!

Does anyone know if there's a master list of supported cards? Does the Fidelity AmEx (managed by BOA) work?

Gonna go get a Big Mac, Large Fries, and a Coke in a few minutes without taking my wallet out of my pocket for the first time ever.

I'm sure it will be kind of odd but awesome to have great integration with the 6+.

Future is now.

Still have to take something out of your pocket.

I'm waiting for the day the NFC machine draws blood to match my identity and then auto synchronizes with my brain chip that stores my credit card.

Oh, it will have lasers too.

No you don't. Not with ApplePay. NFC is built into the phone. On some Android devices you need a new SIM because NFC is built into the SIM, not the phone.
