Haven't read the whole thread but I recommend Picky from the app store as the best music app replacement. Since apple butchered it in iOS7. Scrolling through all those artist tracks ain't nobody got time fa dat!

Getting music onto my 6 Plus has been a huge ordeal. I have a fairly large library, but even syncing a few playlists with a few dozen songs seems to take multiple attempts. The syncs are wreaking havoc on my play counts, sometimes
doubling them, other times adding a certain number to the count each time I attempt a sync.

I am having the same problem. I use smart playlists and nested playlists to control what I listen to. Breaking play counts makes iTunes nearly useless. Listening to music is what I do most with my phone, so ruining this function is making me wish I had gotten an Android.

Really, how hard is it to enable "repeat album" in Artists view? Especially since it's already there:

* In Artist view select a song,
* go to the Now Playing screen, hit the list icon (three lines) at the top right,
* select your song AGAIN from the album list,
* hit Done and now "repeat album" is available!

Somebody has to resurrect Steve Jobs just to fix this.

It seems that Apple does not want us to listen to albums. May be they had a market study, which found that people spend my money on iTunes when they buy individual songs.

Is Cesium out yet? I'm contemplating between buying Ecoute or Picky..

Practically! Very happy to report that after some initial hiccups Cesium has been approved and is processing through the App Store now. It should be available within 24 hours at an introductory price of $0.99. I will be sure to post as soon as it goes live.

I hope you will all give Cesium a try, and that it provides a more pleasurable music management experience. Cheers,

Mike

We are live!

Cesium is officially available on the App Store.

Would it be possible to add a "dark" mode (dark background and bright text) and/or increase the font size? Even on my 6+, it's a bit difficult to read when sitting on the car dash - or about 1.5' away.

That aside, I'm liking it so far!

Just had a Tweet from Cesium. Night Mode coming soon. Looks awesome as well.

Thanks Crookadile! Beat me to it.

Ok, just bought your app.

Are you going to add a manageable currently playing playlist? It would be nice to be able to cue up multiple albums from different artists.

This is a stupidly complex issue, unfortunately, because Apple does not officially allow developers access to the system playback queue.

So short answer is maybe, long answer is yes but I have to figure out exactly how it would be implemented. Can't commit to a timetable for this feature, unfortunately.

Ecoute can do that. Perhaps you could have a look.

A great advantage from the native app versus other apps is the landscape artwork based navigation. Love to browse just by seeing the covers...

This was one thing I really missed whenever I use other music players/devices. Call it gimmicky but I do enjoy the landscape album art. Looks really good when all the album arts are squares too.

Would it kill them to add a play button next to the shuffle button that appears by each album in Artists view?
