I am in the UK, and ordered the following CTO on the 13th within an hour or so of store opening.
MBP 15" 2.66 GHz Core i7, 4GB RAM, HR Glossy Display, 500GB HDD @ 5600.
Wanted to cancel and change for 7200 rpm HDD, but a colleague of mine who also ordered the same model w/ 7200 HDD only yesterday was given 10-11 May delivery slot, while mine is 27-28 Apr.
Speaking of mine it has just changed to Prepared for Shipment as I was writing this post.
So another 13 days to go...guess it would go through Mexico, Dubai, an Belgium before being delivered to my door step....

15" i7 with Hi-res glossy and 7200rpm - Ordered right after release.
It states 'Prepared for Shipment' as of today with an estimated arrival date of 22-23 April
- I wouldn't mind receiving it a day earlier though, giddy with excitement.

Got the same config as a replacement from my Early-2008 model to UK. So, I don't know when will it arrive as it isn't me who orders it.
so how likely do you think my mac will arrive on saturday? it shipped from china today?, ive never looked at estimated delivery because my stuff would arrive like 2 days ahead of schedule, anyone have this experience before?

How is everyone's CTO shipping out already? I ordered mine at 8:30 am on April 13th. This is what I got...

Probably has less to do with when you ordered and more to do with what you ordered. I am guessing they que up similar builds at the same time, so one of the options you picked is just qued for later.
Unless they have a night shift I am thinking there will be no more updates for the day here. I am still at not yet shipped
putting my chances of receiving it tomorrow at 0. I am guessing I wont get it until Monday or Tuesday, but if it will deliver on Saturday I might have to come into the office and wait for the FedEx guy to come
I had ordered mine online on the launch day. It was the Core i7 15" with the high resolution antiglare screen. As of this afternoon, the status was still "Not Yet Shipped". I called around to all of the local stores (I'm in MD) and the store in Annapolis said they had them in stock. I drove 30 min down there and they sold it a few min. before I got there. I asked if any other stores had this model, and the one in Bethesda (Bethesda Row) was the only one. I called and told them my story, and they agreed to hold me a model until I could get down there to pick it up. After some mild credit card issues (BOA was unhappy with me canceling my order and the purchasing one in store), I finally acquired my machine! Other than an annoying tiny nick (or stubborn piece of dust) on the lid, I'm very satisfied. In particular, this is the first time I've purchased an Apple and had ZERO screen issues; no dead pixels, no non-conforming sub-pixels . . . the high-res antiglare screen is GORGEOUS! If you just want the high-res antiglare with a 15" I suggest calling around to local stores to see if they have any in stock.

I know, this blows. Mine was ordered within 5 minutes of the store coming back online. Just upgraded to HR antiglare, live in FL.

I think it's the drive upgrades that will make it ship later because it's another stage in customizing it.

Considering it was 2am in China when my CTO with an SSD went from "not yet shipped" to "preparing to ship", it makes me think they're building certain configurations in the US. Either that, or they're working the Chinese around the clock, or there's a big lag in updating the status.

I did change my order later that afternoon but I just only changed the drive upgrade. I don't think that'd affect the preparation time because according to my order on apple.com, it still shows order places on 8:30 am. I think so many people has their computers prepared for shipment today on top of deliveries to all apple stores, that there may be a lag in the update status. At least I'm hoping so, and I'll get some good news today.
Forgot to mention I live in WI, US. but I don't think location affects that at all.
