SSD Delay?
I've yet to see any BTO ship (or even "prepared to ship") that has a SSD based upon this thread and the other "Has your MBP shipped yet?" one. I ordered a 15" MBP i7, 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM, high-res anti-glare, within the first 15 minutes of the store being re-opened and live in Atlanta, GA -- and still showing as "Not shipped yet" as of 9:45AM EST.

I called them his morning to change my order (from BTO keyboard to base model). The representative said, that they will ship in 24hrs, but I am not really sure about that

Will people please state what they ordered and where they are located so we can make some sense of these. Simply "I ordered on Tuesday and have x delivery date" doesn't really help.
I ordered a 15" 2.66 8gb RAM 128 GB SSD the morning they came out and it still says "Not Yet Shipped." Boooooo.
I haven't seen any order with an SSD ship yet (including my own) -- makes me wonder if there's a delay on those, or if they're building them in the US instead of China for some reason.
Interesting - fedex now says shipped from Shanghai and delivery on Tuesday. I sprang for 2-3 day shipping... It appears to be three. I'm not sure that extra cost gets you anything...

If you got the high end (2.66) with that screen stores have them... you only need to go BTO if you want the faster HD...
a) Not all stores have them.
b) Not everyone lives near stores.
c) It is not convenient for everyone to get to a store (busy life).
I have a similar machine as he does, on BTO. Except I did go faster hard drive. But even so, I would have ordered online even though I have 4 Apple stores within 20 minutes.
Does anyone knows if Apple also delivers on Saturday in Europe?
I've seen a couple of people (US) talking about a Saturday delivery.

In the past Apple has refunded 2-3 day shipping for people who see these kind of delays, I was thinking I might give them a call tomorrow and get my $$ back for the expedited shipping.
im pretty angry, not really just sad, because my original estimated delivery was the 16th, thats CTO, it missed the fedex cut off yesterday by 5 minutes, and its going to arrive estimated April 21st by 4:30 EST *FACE PALM*

That's a bitter pill... But hey, you KNOW when you will get it.

mine is showing this same data, I imagine mine will ship out on the 22nd heh
