Has your MBP shipped yet?

LOL...

One hour later and I finally got a email saying it shipped. It took 13 hours from the time it was Prepared for shipment to Shipped. I literally checked the status 5 minutes ago on the webpage and it still said Prepared. I then checked my email and to my surprise there was a email with the tracking number. So for me I got my shipment notification email first before it actually updated on the the order status webpage.

I ordered on the April 20th, 4:00pm PDT. Exact same as what you ordered (15" i7, Hi-res Glossy, 500GB@7200RPM) Still says its not yet shipped! Today is the last day (days 7) for the "Ships in" days.
 
hmmm...i ordered mine on april 23 @2:30am, and since then nothing has changed! Is this normal?
I got the 15inch i7 ag btw....cant wait for first MAC! :D

yah good luck man i hope they ship tomorrow. this i will be my first mac i already sold my pc after i ordered the mac so im typing from my ps3. dude im freaking out without a computer!

I ordered the same thing except for the hard drive. I kept the 5400. don't need the speed and extra battery consumption. AND I ordered it on the 21st and it still isn't at "prepared for shipment".
 
Interesting. My MBP didn't go to Oakland:

Apr 30, 2010 2:29 AM Arrived at FedEx location INDIANAPOLIS, IN
Apr 29, 2010 4:22 PM Departed FedEx location ANCHORAGE, AK

(even though FlightAware said PANC->KIND left exactly when the departure scan from ANC took place. Perhaps the departure scan was an automatic scan?)

Oh well, the flight to San Diego should be in 1.5 hours, assuming FedEx doesn't hold it till Monday.

Actually, come to think of it, I'm kind of glad it didn't go to Oakland. The only air route to SAN on FedEx from Oakland involves a stop in Ontario. Note how the ONT->SAN segment is only 15 minutes long. Talk about environmentally unfriendly! :( (plus with an 8 hour drive from Oakland, it wouldn't make it in time via truck)

Well, count your blessings! I ordered one day after you and mine is not even off the assembly line yet.

True, but maybe they could have used a smaller plane or redid the routing to eliminate that stop. *shrug* FedEx probably has a good reason for doing it how they did, though.

Looks like we are on the same boat. I'm waiting for mine to get to Dallas, but it made an unexpected (to me) stop in Memphis, TN this morning. Looks like I won't be getting my package today!! (FedEx and it's unreliable arrival dates!! Second time this has happened!!)
 
Mines on its way. I bought the 3 day upgrade and was wondering if they ship on Saturday? As far as I know, it still has to go through Columbus, Oh before it gets to me.

FedEx and Apple!

This is really piece of ****. My Mac is now in my current exact city (at destination sort facility) and it was 5:00 AM morning and still we have the whole day but I called and they say they will not deliver it today because it comes in containers and they have to stick to the expected delivery date (Monday) as they will not unpack them today. WTF?

I am totally disappointed from Apple and FedEx

Any similar stories?

What does your tracking say? At Sort facility?

I find it very strange this way? Why did we pay for 2 days shipping and the baby is lying here in our cities and we cannot get it. Why don't they become not lazy .... and deliver it tomorrow since it Express.

You know what, I wanna say something about all of us here including me that we deserve this because we just take what Apple is giving us. We have paid extra money and did not get the service and we just wait and accept it!

You can blame the last part on FedEx, Apple has no control over what FedEx does. Apple barley made the window for shipping my MBP and FedEx will probably also make the last date on their window as well :( Darn weekend will stall it.
