On April 21, I ordered this:

2.66GHz Intel Core i7
4GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRM - 2x2GB
500GB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200
SuperDrive 8X DL
MBP 15"HR Antiglare WS Display

Apple's site says:
"Ships: 5 - 7 business days
Delivers: Apr 29 - May 5 "

It hasn't shipped yet, and I'll be surprised if it manages to get here by the latest date promised, May 5 (which is 7 days away).
Update: email from Apple says it shipped today (4/29). Looks like it will be here within the promised window of delivery.

Arrived this morning! 2 days early! :)

MacBook pro cto was estimated delivery for 11th may, then changed to 10th may and now it's changed to 5th may!!! Would be great if I get it tomorrow as day off but if not then 5th is still fab!

Delivered 2 days early! :D

But sadly it won't be in my hands till the 15th. Goddamit! :(

Mine shows being here on Monday. That's right in the middle of Apple's estimate. Good enough for me! I take back 53% of all the stuff I said!

So much for Monday. I'm adding back the 53% of all the bad stuff I have said about FedEx or FedUp as I call them. So Apple sends FedUp the info. It takes FedEx 13 hours to get it picked up, then taken somewhere, then three hours later picked up again which just missed FedUp's cutoff. NICE!

So now it's in transit to ANC and it'll get here around midnight so do you think FedUp will deliver it. NOPE. They don't deliver 2-3 day packages in ANC in 2 days if they can leave it in a tote until the 3rd day.

So I'll have it Wednesday which is the very last day of Apples 5-7 day build time and FedUp's 2-3 day delivery if you count Friday to Wednesday as 2-3 days.

I'm noticing that either very little or a lot of time passed between the Second Shanghai in transit, and Anchorage.

Any ideas on how to interpret this? Mine has been in Transit (the second update) for 4 hours.

Absolutely no idea. In fact, my delivery would have been done 2 days earlier had the weekend not come in between coz essentially on Saturday morning it was already at the sort facility in Denver.

Oh plus all those times are local times, so yeah possibly the time stamp between Shanghai and AK could be misleading. :S

The time frame from Shanghai to ANC is about 20 minutes with the time zone change if that helps.

My MBP is now "In Transit" and I'm in NYC, any idea if the direct flight from Shanghai to Memphis would apply to me? (http://flightaware.com/live/flight/FDX90)

If so, how long has it taken people in the NY area to get their delivery once it arrives in Memphis?

I've watched this several times and as long as it gets into MEM during the middle of the night, it seems to have same day delivery. I can't get that in ANC but MEM does an awesome job.

Memphis is killing me right now. Says it has left the Memphis pub, but that was 36hrs ago with no update after..

That's not right. It should have had a scan upon arrival from MEM to where ever it went. I'd call FedEx and see what they say. Then post it so we know what's going on. Don't accept "I don't know" for an answer. It hasn't been in flight for 36 hours so ask to talk to someone who has an answer.

Mine arrived today :)

15.5" i7 8GB HR-AG

Ordered: April 18th
Shipped: April 28th
Delivered On: March 03 16:42 EST

So far so good. No scratches/dents, no dirt, no dead/stuck pixels. I'm a little underwhelmed by the TN panel (HR AG); I'm used to staring at IPS panel monitors all day (this is my first notebook).

So, can someone explain what two 'In Transit's in Shanghai mean, when they are under two hours apart? Is this movement in the port?

Is the general story that there are only a few flights a week, and we stack up waiting for them? My order was last Tuesday, and it already says delivery is sked for May 5 (says FedEx).

Someone needs to write a sticky on 'How your CTO travels from CN, step by step...' :D

finally

My 13" 2.4GHZ with 128SSD arrived today....couldnt be happier. The snappiest thing i ever worked on. Just happy happy happy :)

btw. Free printer ftw.! =)

That's exactly what I was thinking.. I called and right away the girl said she could only see what I see online. What should I do?

Called twice now.. they jus say they have no other updates.
