MBP 15" HR Glossy WS Display

Ships: 2 - 4 Business days
Delivers: Apr 16 - Apr 22
2-3 Day shipping

I'm in Brooklyn, still shows "Not yet shipped"

Anyone know if they like to sit on edu discounts? Get the high rollers shipped first ;)

I ordered last night with those same exact specs. Mine still says not yet shipped as well

I will probably call and ask for my Shipping refunded as well, no sense in paying for it if the lag is happening on their end

Can you do that? I suppose just call the 800 apple number. Would it make a difference?

This is my order:

I'm also in Wisconsin.

Waiting to get my first Mac, knowing I've ordered it, is much tougher than waiting the months I've (we've all) waited for the Core i-series chips!

I find this kind of waiting much more pleasant than months of "is there even a goddamn update coming?". It's the agonizing decision process that kills me... Do I keep waiting? Buy now? Look for PC alternative?

Even after I ordered, I still agonized over whether I should have just picked up stock 13" from the apple store instead of BTO. But now I just called them and they aren't expecting shipment until next week, so all my decisions are basically over and I can just sit back and wait.

Oh also my 13" BTO ordered Tues morning is "prepared for shipping".

I live in the Isle of Man (UK) and ordered the:
15" Hi Res Glossy
2.53 GHz Core i5
4 GB RAM
500 GB @ 7200 RPM

Ordered on 13th April at 4 PM (UK time), estimated shipping is sticking at 5 days but the "Cancel" button has greyed out saying that items are prepared for shipment. Delivery between 23rd and 26th. I CAN'T WAIT :D

If I'm correct on the BTOs coming out of Shenzhen on http://flightaware.com/live/flight/FDX48, that flight is scheduled for 7:05PM Shenzhen time. It's 5:30AM there right now, so chances are your laptop will sit around for about 12 hours, then get put on a truck or whatnot over to the airport to be loaded.

Once someone has a tracking number and can confirm where the package originated from and when it actually departed whichever airport, then the above can be proven or disproven...

I am in the UK. I am assuming mine will head to Europe first instead of going via USA, is that right, or do they go to USA first?

Does the "Cancel" button being greyed out have any significance? I noticed my "Cancel" button is greyed out as well, but I just ordered a few hours ago. That couldn't possible mean that my order is already preparing for shipment? (Mine was a BTO btw)

I hope it does! When I click on Cancel, it says: "Your item(s) have already been prepared for shipment, so they cannot be canceled. However, once they ship, you may be able to return them from the Order details page."

I'm hoping this means it will be shipped pretty soon!

Where in Wisconsin??

I called them twice...I hung up on the first guy cos he was dumb and didnt know anything and was just telling me what the computer told him. I called live rep and I explained my situation, and how a lot of people I knew had theirs shipped already, etc etc, he transferred me to people who handle orders and explained the situation to him. Then this guy offered to refund me the shipping and calmed me down in the end. So you can try that...apple usually has good service like that.

I ordered mine at the exact same time, only at an APR and in Holland (your neighbours ;)).
Let's see who gets it first :p!
(mine's a 17 inch BTO though)

I really think its less of a when you ordered and more of a what is on the production line to be built.

For efficiencies sake they are probably doing all of the similar models at the same time. So for instance they are probably working on the 15"ers now since a lot of people with those are seeing status change. Hopefully soon they will switch over to the 17"ers for those of us who ordered those!

If it ships via fedex, I'm pretty sure every single item goes through Memphis, Tennessee. Fedex uses a wagon wheel method. So it probably goes from the starting postion, to anchorage, alaska. To memphis. To the UK

P.S. this is just my knowledge from watching the discovery channel special on how air mail from china to new york works. lol
