Just figured I'd throw my info into the mix:

Status: NOT YET SHIPPED
Order Date: Apr 13, 2010 at 05:55 AM PDT
Ships: 2 - 4 Business days
Delivers: Apr 16 - Apr 22

MBP 15.4/2.66/CTO
2.66GHz Intel Core i7
4GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRM - 2x2GB
500GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400
MBP 15"HR Antiglare WS Display

I'm located in Upstate NY... and I'm pretty sure the 160gb Intel SSD I ordered for the MBP is going to get here before the computer does.

I have the same configuration and am located in Scotland.
"Estimated Shipping: 4 business days
Estimated Delivery: 27 Apr, 2010 - 28 Apr, 2010"

I think it most likely will ship on the same day for all the people who ordered antiglare hi-res.

If you call cust service just be friendly and dbaa.
If you get the Right rep you should at least get the expedited shipping waved, if you get someone really nice then maybe they will hook you up more

My area is open saturdays too.... why does it make me pick though from pickup or drop off fedex location? does that mean my area only is available for pickup on saturdays?

No. It asks you that because the price changes if you need an on-demand pickup... has nothing to do with the delivery end of things. If it has a Saturday option listed in the pricing, then your area has Saturday delivery.

Yup. Called back and got a rep who didn't sound like he wanted to rip my head off, explained things, and he was more than happy to give me free expedited shipping.

He did say that I probably wouldn't see it until Monday or Tuesday at the earliest. However, if this goes out today (local time) with my current assumptions (~7am EDT Friday out of Shenzhen, ~4pm EDT Friday into Anchorage), and "expedited" does indeed mean overnight Saturday delivery once it hits the US, that does indeed allow it to get from Anchorage to about anywhere in the continental US to go out Saturday morning.

This is all conjecture at this point; I'm still showing "Not yet shipped" on mine, but you folks who've made it to "Prepared for shipment" with expedited delivery may get them on Saturday. :) (And there's still 9 hours in Shenzhen for them to build more laptops and get them over to the airport... Build faster!)

(And thanks to whoever suggested auto-reloading in FireFox; I installed "ReloadEvery" and have a FireFox window sitting open with the "Not yet shipped" part of the page visible sitting under my Safari window and next to the dock, reloading every 5 minutes. :))

Hang in there, I felt the same way when I got my first MBP but it is SOOOOO worth it once it gets there. I would bet you get it Monday or Tuesday as well

Just updated to "Prepared for Shipment"

Ordered 2.5 hours after you and mine still has not shipped.

If my status is "prepared to be shipped", does that mean my pro is already built, and just going to be shipped soon?

It means it's already built obviously if it says it's prepared to ship out. I am wondering if it means its already been shipped and we're just awaiting tracking number or if it means itll be shipped soon.

Just as long as no more important keys fail before then! The up arrow has been gone for long enough that it'll probably feel weird to hit the real up arrow again instead of right shift. Fn being gone now isn't too horrible; I have the F-keys mapped to use Fn for the built-in functions, so I basically just need to use the menu bar volume control, and the Display prefpane if I want to adjust brightness. :) (KeyRemap4MacBook unfortunately doesn't seem to want to remap anything else to Fn, even though it remaps the up arrow up to shift just fine...)

I dont think we will see any more updates tonight, I can guarantee this is the first thing I will check in the morning though ;)

Eh, some of us keep odd hours. :) Hoping they'll use the next several hours to process more BTO orders! It's not even noon over in China. (Though if the "Prepared for shipment" status updates are going out in a timely fashion, one could surmise that they're running 24 hours over there from the times people are reporting seeing those.)

Has anyone in Canada been able to get a hold of these yet?

I'm looking for the 13" in particular and Best Buy says maybe Monday, Future Shop says maybe tomorrow (but i'm not sure if they know what they're talking about).

So what are you guys saying when you're talking to Apple about shipping times so you can get on their good side?

My order says "Not Yet Shipped" and I placed mine at about 8pm Tuesday night.

I forgot to mention in my last post that I am located in Atlanta, GA (although I think that I changed my profile so that it will now also show my location; guess I'll find out after I post).

Is there anyone else here who ordered a CTO 15" that is located in ATL and ordered on the 13th? If so, what is you current status?

Also, this is will be my first mac. For those of you who have ordered from the online store before (and are located on the east coast), how long did it take to get your computer after it was "prepared for shipment" if you selected standard shipping? I am so impatient that I am tempted to call Apple first thing tomorrow morning and change my order to expedited shipping.

Sheesh - they don't build these on a first come, first serve basis!

Yes, I'm in Atlanta and I ordered a 15", 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM, anti-glare screen around 8:45am on the 13th (our time). My status just changed to "prepared for shipping" this afternoon around 2pm and is still on that as of now. I chose expedited shipping, but seems like times people are being quoted is the same regardless of that. I've actually never had any luck with "expedited" shipping and Apple. Anyways, once I get a tracking # and can see an estimated delivery date, I'll post an update.

I just cancelled mine online.. Figured I might give my local Apple Store a call and guess what, they have 1 in stock exactly the one I wanted!

For those of you that are unpatient of your new machine, might consider giving your local Apple Store a call and see if they have in stock.

For your information, I ordered the 2.66 i7 with high resolution and anti glare display..

Also in Atlanta. Also ordered CTO (+500 GB 7200 RPM HD, +hi-res screen). Also ordered on the 13th. Current status is "Prepared for Shipment".

I expect to see it changed to shipped by tomorrow morning (EST).

I work at the dutch airport Schiphol, and all flights here and in the rest of western Europe are cancelled. This could delay our order a bit...

Disappointing when you see orders placed later than yours get ready for shipment earlier. :( It seems like that the glossy hi res screens are taking longer based on many of the reports here. The anti-glare hi res screens are already in stores, so i'm not surprised that people who ordered that option are already getting shipping notifications. Hope there's not some production issue with the glossy screens holding them back.

I do love Iceland, but they are certainly causing a bit of chaos for you folks right now. :) But that should mean more MacBook Pros for us folks in the US! Give us our laptops! :p (But wow, I really couldn't have guessed at something entirely shutting down Schiphol and several other major European hubs... seems I know now.)

I blame the puffins!
