I'm a bit confused about my timestamps now..
This is according to 'origin' time (It is currently 10PM, 17th in Shanghai):
Apr 18, 2010 8:44 AM
In transit
SHANGHAI CN

Apr 17, 2010 4:30 AM
Left FedEx origin facility
SHANGHAI CN

Apr 17, 2010 4:18 AM
Picked up
SHANGHAI CN
Package received after FedEx cutoff

Apr 16, 2010 3:28 PM
Shipment information sent to FedEx

IT says 18th for in transit Shanghai time...it is not yet the 18th! Also if I try to put it into destination time (Central time zone), it says 'in transit' at 7:44PM on the 17th (11 hours from now)...am I missing something??

My CTO order is in my city (Seattle)! I don't think fedex delivers on Satuday but I think I can go pick it up... I may have to.

I was wondering about that. On another thread (I think from last year's MBP refresh) there was a raging debate about whether you could pick it up from the local FedEx facility before they had made a delivery attempt. I never saw any resolution as to whether or not you can though. Please let us know if they let you get it before they attempted to deliver it at least once. (Quite jealous yours is already in your hometown!) :)

It is even impossible to trace the package on Syncreon's site.

UPS is saying "Exception" with my status, which will be to
do with the volcano, but it has just arrived in Germany. At least it's not in China anymore and a bit closer to the UK! Any ideas what this might mean though?... Is my current package progress:
"KOELN (COLOGNE), DE 17/04/2010 14:45
PACKAGE DATA PROCESSED BY BROKERAGE. WAITING FOR CLEARANCE"

MBP 13.3/2.4/CTO
Ordered 13th of April
Delivery to UK

My MBP has made it to Germany despite the volcano cloud!

However, the status now is "exception" which means that an unforeseen event has occurred and delivery date may change.

Just gave them a call - Its at the sort facility right now - which sounded like it meant the airport . Fedex said check back later to see if it's at the fedex location - if so I can pick it up. Their web site noted there'd be a service charge but I think I'll have mine in my grubby little hands today. Now my hopes are up.

Bom Dia! You can't track it via Apple's site? They usually send a tracking link in the e-mail.

update: I am now fairly certain that they simply switched AM and PM. I JUST got an update with a second 'in transit' tracking status (at 9:17PM). It is now 9:17AM...either that or it is still referring to Shanghai time, but then how come the "orgin" time stamp is set a day in the future (beyond the time in Shanghai..)

Same as well! Exact same package status! Hopefuly this is
good news! Ours must have all been on the same flight :)
Yep :) But I think they are now stuck in Cologne. If I remember correctly they all have to go through Netherlands first before they are dispatched to the final country. Even if mine is goig to Germny. At least that what happened when I ordered a MBP in 2008.

What's the purpose of passing through NL? Why can't they be shipped directly to the respective country?

Boas :)
Apple's site has no exact information. At the moment I can see there 2 delivery dates: 28-29 Apr and May 4. And inside the e-mail sent by apple - May 3.
It is just ridiculous
Last year I bought a MacBook Air and it was shiped via UPS. I was able to trace my package directly on UPS's site. That was a good experience.

I read somewhere that they kind of finish the packaging there: add manuals, cables .. I'm not sure what exaclty but all the MBP (ordered in Europe) were going through there and Apple has a facility in NL.

Ubercool, did you select expedited or standard shipping? I was upgraded to expedited and I would have thought that my MBP would be here by Tuesday if not Monday.

i got the notification as well, u know all the departments in china do not stop during weekends, that why china is getting bigger..

thank god for that, i want my new MacBook Pro lol
i hope it will arrive in australia tomorrow (sunday) and be delivered monday. TNT International Express Consignment Tracking isnt very helpful in terms of telling me where my package is :p:p

I just got a second "in transit" middle of the night and location is still in china? I'm so confused.

Ordered at 12:54 GMT April 13th

Delivery on 21st. How will that work?
Any other people in the UK waiting to be shipped?

Looks like mine is done moving for the weekend. It is sitting in Newark, NJ. It's only a 4 hour drive from here, but it still estimates delivery to be on Wednesday. :(
