Hi. I ordered my 17" antiglare, i7, 500g 7200 drive on Friday at 3p.m. CST. It estimated 5-7 day ship on order with delivery between April 26-30. I live in Iowa.
I'm happy to report that it instead shipped today (Monday) with tracking indicating a Wednesday April 20th delivery by 10:30 a.m. That's a nice surprise.

Shipment information sent to FedEx
mine just landed in anchorage on what i believe was UPS81. Should be in Kentucky at 1AM ish, and MAYBE to me in canada by tomorrow! please please please!
how's that possible? I ordered mine on freaking Wednesday... and today... freaking today... it finally left Shanghai. And it's still not due to get to me until like the 22nd?
How are you getting it that fast?
Not sure. I'm pretty surprised too. Maybe my configuration was more common, or one they had ready? Or it could be due to shipping routes?
How close are you to the airport that it's due to get to... I'm a long ways from Memphis..
I just updated my long flight/shipping post with some UPS-related info from a previous post, which may be of use to you and other folks in Canada.
Does this info help? I ordered within an hour of availability of the new computers. I got the 15" i7 with the matte/high res screen. We live in San Diego. Here is the status as of 4pm PST today:

Just to add another data point, my 17" CTO arrived at Anchorage today from Guangzhou.
Ship date: Apr 17
Estimated delivery: Apr 21 by 10:30 am
691 miles. It could also be that yours was one of the first ones on the same flight, and mine was one of the last. Is your last in transit from Shanghai at 11:14?
Min was shipped on the 19th (today), after being prepared for shipment on the 16th. It missed the "FedEx cutoff" though. What exactly does it mean? It delayed my expected date until the 22nd. How is it shipped on one day, but miss the cutoff on the same day?
In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly.

hmmm not sure.. i thought it was the flight after that? All I know is that my shipping thing says it's "in transit" from Shanghai at 2:45.
If you only have a single "in transit" scan, I suspect your package is sitting at the airport. You'll likely be on FDX28 leaving around 9PM local time tomorrow (so about 12 hours from now), or possibly FDX90 around 11PM, but we have yet to see if weekday shipments go through MEM and not just ANC.
It's quite possible to have shipped out on Monday and receive your package on Tuesday, for just about anywhere in the US that's reasonably close to a major city. Two days in transit should get you anywhere in the US. People are getting quoted longer times due to purposeful delays to meet the scheduled shipping timeframe, and it seems an extra day or two if you're not expedited.
Another odd tracking combination..
My 15 didn't have any "in transit" scans in alaska, it arrived, went through int'l shipment release then left..
For my 17 there's an in transit scan in alaska that doesn't correspond with any flights that left to Memphis.
There's FDX76 that left at 2:29 and FDX94 that left at 4:04 local..

It has the double "in transit" one at 2:45 and the other i think is like 3:15ish...
Hmm, you have the same timestamps as the other poster going through Guangzhou. It's about 23 hours between the Shanghai and Guangzhou timestamps. Google Maps says it's about a 1570km drive and approx 20 hours. So I'm guessing those ones going out of Guangzhou were trucked down from Shanghai.
Actually, what will probably happen is that the MacBook Pro you ordered will ship to you anyway, Apple will realize that they can't charge your credit card, and will send you a bill for the amount you owe which won't be reversed until you return the item to them within the 14 day grace period.
Also for us UK buyers, does anyone know how to track it? It only says shipped on the APPLE track website, nothing more, no location, no tracking number, nothing... argghh. I hope it comes soon!
