Arrived at FedEx location
ANCHORAGE, AK

Finally arrived in Alaska this morning, I was part of the 320 transit scan group. When is the next flight out?

Now I'm beginning to worry. I ordered on the 15th at Noon and hav had the same "Not Yet Shipped" status since. Today is the 3rd business day so I was hoping to see a status change. Instead, my bank account no longer has that hold by Apple.

Is this typical? Do they release the hold just before charging or should I be genuinely worried?

The auth falls off after 3 days. They don't process the purchase until after it ships.

Mine's made it to Alaska, so it seems on track for delivery on Thursday.

Assuming you are where your location says...there is a good chance you'll get it tomorrow. Though it may take longer if you're not expedited.

...still can't fall asleep, just waiting for my MBP now! It's out for delivery. Wondering if they'll stick to the 10:30AM time since it's a day early, or just deliver it whenever. Either's fine.

...damnit, buzzer just rang. But it was UPS with a completely different overnight package, not FedEx with my MBP!

yep im in AK now too...

would like to get it tomorrow but im sure it will be thurs, i had standard shipping.

I'd say that with current info, I can't really even take an educated guess until you get a second "in transit" scan. Look for one around 9PM or 11PM (local time) today. That'll put you on the ANC or MEM flight. See mini-FAQ in sig for more info... (I need to update that with the info we have on what appear to be PVG-NRT-ANC flights now, too...)

Your post is super helpful. Thanks. I'll keep an eye on it.

same here. Estimated ship date is still April 22, but a lot of people on here have been getting theres early. I proably wont be home when the fedex guys comes tomorrow or thursday, so I will need to go pick it up. Which isn't a big deal since I live 1 mile away from the fedex center.:D

Which sites are you using to track shipments? I'm having it delivered to Norway. Does anyone know where my mbp is being sent from?

Well, we've been using FlightAware for US shipments. But they only cover the US/Canada/Caribbean and very limited parts of Europe.

If you did a BTO, it will most likely come out of Shanghai, as that's where all of them have come from so far. European folks with UPS deliveries have been seeing "NATURAL DISASTER" scans in Shanghai, with the packages being held there for the moment, due to the Eyjafjallajökull eruption. Now that your airspace is opening back up, stuff should start moving again...but there's definitely a backlog that may take a few days to clear. If you're shipping via UPS, the info the mini-FAQ in my sig may be slightly helpful (at least as far as figuring out next point in transit), but if it's another carrier...no idea, really.

yea i wont be home tmw either and my fedex center isnt in the best of neighborhoods to be carrying a $2400 computer around by myself...thurs is good bc my bf will be home to sign...

Check your email for a cancellation notice. Happened to me when I tried getting more than one MBP with a student discount.

I just called Apple and they assured me that the package was still set to be delivered this Friday. They said the banks will usually release the hold and charge the order after.

I kinda hoped it would have come in sooner. Oh well, I'm sure I will be satisfied either way.

Stuck in China. I haven't been this inpatient since I first started baking bread. It's eating me alive like some deep sea parisite. Oh boy.

Yeah mine too... So much for their 'expedited shipping'.

Chinese production letting you down, what a surprise.

hahaha yea i hear you, i dont know why i keep refreshing the fedex page...checking every 5 minutes isnt going to make it get here any faster lol

Well, actually...your minor actions on your computer leading to some electrons moving around may end up affecting some minor winds, perhaps making a FedEx vehicle make a light that it might otherwise have just missed! You know, butterflies in China (I guess that'd be Shanghai!) and all.

On truck for delivery.....

I called FedEx to ask if the 10:30AM delivery time applied since mine is out for delivery a day early, or if it would just be delivered whenever. They said that it would indeed be delivered by 10:30AM still. So for anyone else with a delivery time commit, but out a day early, the same time commit should still apply!

My F****** order is still in limbo - unbelievable

It just says not yet shipped and is not processing or moving.

WTF apple.

I called and all they know is that it is processing.

BS.

Other peopled ordered later and theirs is already shipping.

Nobody here can really provide any info or help unless you tell us what you ordered, when you ordered it, whether you paid for expedited shipping, and approximately where it's being delivered to... Later orders may be shipping because they were expedited, or because you have BTO components that are out of stock, or other reasons that can't be known from what you posted.

Aiee, more unknown flight info to contend with! First I've seen of one of those... looks like you got in to ANC on FDX74 ICN-ANC. I'd actually been suspecting that we might see some stuff via ICN, because it's practically the same distance to go PVG-ICN-ANC vs PVG-ANC.

...the shipping industry is mocking me! First I get a UPS delivery an hour ago. Now I just saw a DHL van go by! DHL is supposed to have ended their domestic deliveries in the US a year ago! Damnit, and as I was writing this, I just saw a USPS truck go by, too! Every non-FedEx form of shipment is coming by to be mean. :( ...and the DHL van just came back in the other direction!

I seem to have the same tracking info as several others:

Apr 20, 2010 3:48 AM Arrived at FedEx location (ANCHORAGE, AK)
Apr 20, 2010 3:20 AM In transit (SHANGHAI CN)
Apr 20, 2010 2:42 AM In transit (SHANGHAI CN)

Apr 17, 2010 12:57 PM Left FedEx origin facility (SHANGHAI CN)
Apr 17, 2010 12:45 PM Picked up (SHANGHAI CN) Package received after FedEx cutoff
Apr 17, 2010 12:45 PM Left FedEx origin facility (SHANGHAI CN)
Apr 16, 2010 10:41 PM Shipment information sent to FedEx

(I ordered Apr 13, 2010 at 06:11 PM PDT - regular shipping)

* Ignore this part =) *
The strange part about this is that the 2nd "In transit" message and the arrival message are timestamped only 28 minutes apart. In reality, the 3:20 "In transit" message appear about the time it says while the arrival message was more like 4/20 8:00 PM (8:00 EST)). It is not clear to me if there was just a backlog in the tracking info appearing or some glitch in the scan time of the arrival message. I'm hoping it was just a backlog and the computer is currently making its way across the country toward Boston.

Edit:

Duh - the times are local scan time, so it isn't 28 minutes, it is 17hrs later

Mine is in transit.

Mine is still in transit since 3:17 AM CDT.
I guess it directly moves toward FedEx location in my town(Statesboro, GA).
