Hi Res Anti Glare

I am guessing will ship sometime today. Will update

My BTO/CTO i5, 500 GB 7200 RPM, hi-res screen MBP switched to "Prepared for Shipping" this morning as well. Granted that it's now late evening Chinese time, we'll see how far it gets today.

Shipped

Ordered on April 13

2.4GHz Intel Core i5
4GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRM - 2x2GB
320GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 8X DL
MBP 15" HR Glossy WS Display

SHIPPED today (4/15) - estimated arrival 20th on FedEx and 21st on Apple site.

First MBP. Can't waaaiiiit!

EDIT: US east coast if you're wondering

I got an email (1:20 AM PST) saying it shipped with a tracking number.

Fedex shows an estimated delivery on Monday morning.

I went with the base 520M 15" with a high res glossy screen.

I have a question but it doesn't justify creating a new thread.

Does the apple retail store typically stock models with SSD or is that strictly BTO? I am leaving for vacation for a weak tomorrow and would love to pick a new MBP on the way out of town, but I am not going to buy one without a HI RES display or a 128gb SSD. However if I could buy one and upgrade with my own SSD without voiding the warranty, I would do that. But I don't think that is an option.

Suggestions?

I ordered this 2 hours after the store came up on the 13th:

This is for a base model 13" MBP shipping to Denmark:

Not yet shipped
Estimated Shipping: 5 business days
Estimated Delivery: 22 Apr, 2010 - 23 Apr, 2010

Here is to hoping and praying that stupid volcano wont mess up the delivery of my new toy ;)

My order didn't ship yet; I'm going to call my local store again tomorrow; if stock shows up, I'm canceling… worse comes to worst, if they show up stock tomorrow and my online order ships, I'll return the online order. I'll just have to somehow deal with $10,000 in computer purchases on my next credit card bill.

Why all the hassle?

Hello, I'm new to this forum.
Anyways.....I just placed an order for my first ever macbook(pro) ever.

2.4ghz
500gb hard drive
4gb RAM
standard stuff.

I can't wait!

I also did the 2-3 day shipping delivery so hopefully I get it Saturday(if delivered via FedEx)
Update: woke up and checked status(5:50am) and said my order is prepared for shipment, so hopefully it'll ship today.

I have a tracking number, but it does not indicate actual pickup yet. I am guessing that it will be picked up tonight EST, which will be morning in China. We (EST) are 12 hours off of Shenzhen, China, which I hear Apple manufactures in.

On another note, check out the route that both my Magic Mouse and 3GS case are taking. I placed the order with the MBP, but they shipped separately. They shipped VIA DHL GlobalMail (DHL drop-ship to USPS). They definitely took a strange path. I'm guessing that the USPS facility is in Elkridge, MD (near Baltimore).

Google Maps of my items.

Estimated Delivery: 21 Apr, 2010 - 22 Apr, 2010
Product MBP 17/CTO

Should ship tomorrow with a bit of luck.

I think Canada is generally slower than the US. I'm being told 1-3 business days, although Apple says it's pretty much always 3 business days. I think I'm expected for a delivery on th 29th and I ordered yesterday--using the free shipping. Expedited took 2 days off that quote. I believe it was the hi-res screen that set me back a bit.

Ordered April 14
Not yet shipped (expected to ship April 19)
Expected arrival date April 29 via Standard Shipping

15" i7 2.66ghz
4gb, 500gb 7200rpm, hi-res

Canada west

EDIT: I originally ordered on the 13th in the afternoon. By the 14th (morning) I was able to cancel. In this case, I called and made a change to my order. This set the ship date back by 1 day.

Interesting that people seem to have been given fairly large windows for delivery... mine was 21-22 Apr but a lot seem to be 3 or 4 says wide.

Ordered on the day of release, mine still says:
Delivers: Apr 16 - Apr 22

I was really hoping to get it by Friday but doubtful that will happen.
