I am jealous of you...I just hope they are not tossing my MBP around going thru soooooo many stupid ports...
My new 17" i7 8GB 500GB 7200 Anti-Glare was delivered at 9:20 this morning
easily beating FedEx's 10:30 estimate (and my 10:35 class)
it had a little dirt on the corners and I think the backlight is bleeding through the bottom but it's spectacular
after a quick Toy Story 3 trailer I was blown away by the screen
and the speakers are fantastic too
it's a Segate HDD
I can't wait to rip out the SuperDrive and replace it with my optibay
it produces a retarded amount of noise and vibration

Mine's on the truck right now in Ann Arbor. One of three things will happen:
1.) I will get my MBP today, a day early.
2.) The MBP will ride around the FedEx truck all day and end up returning to the local facility because the driver didn't make it to my workplace, or forgot, etc (has happened before). I will get my MBP on Thursday, after it takes a needless trip around town.
3.) The driver will be lazy and drop off all his packages at the loading dock and force the equally lazy mailroom people to do his job of distributing the shipments, (has also happened) meaning I won't actually get my hands on the MBP until tomorrow, at the earliest.
Hmmm. Location on FedEx shows Anchorage, status says deliver today by 10:30am, I'm in Denver.... Call to FedEx confirms that the MBP was delivered to... Houston.

I ordered a 17 inch mbp with i7, 500GB @7200 rpm, anti glare, iwork and a remote control. My status page hasn't updated since Saturday when it said it was shipping. I ordered on April 13th, at around 20:00 GMT, as i live in Ireland i expect a shipping delay but i have 3 questions, 1) Will my order of a remote control slow the overall delivery as its merging in GB? 2) Anyone else in a similar situations whos received theirs? 3) When will i get my mbp?? Anyone responses appreciated, thanks!

Seeing as how air travel to northern Europe has been severely disrupted over the past week, I'm not surprised that it's taking your order so long. From what I understand flights are beginning to move through the affected area, so hopefully you should see some movement shortly.

Hey guys, So I'm typing this on my brand new i7 CTO high res glossy 15 inch macbook pro. It's AMAZING. I ordered on the 13th and got it this morning at 10:30. Anyone in Ontario, have hope. They will be at your door step soon.
Are you from Ontario? If so, could we see your UPS tracking info? I ordered on the 13th, too. Apparently though, mine's STILL stuck in Louisville.
I'm starting to see that those that ordered on Friday the 16th are getting theirs shipped... Anyone?
I too just want to see the Description "Shipped". After that, I will feel better about having to wait for a shipment over having to wait on whether or not the Mac is even being built or not.
Thinking tomorrow is possible.

expected delivery date May 12, 2010 - May 17, 2010...

Wouldn't you be better off ordering from Amazon or something instead? Assuming you can't drive to a store.

I absolutely agree. I would much rather know that it has been shipped, but waiting in a warehouse to be sent, than not having any information at all. Frustrating!
